Heartwarming / WWE Raw

Go To

2002

  • The history of the WWF. After Ric Flair beat him Vince McMahon threatens to bring in the nWo to destroy the company. In a bid to talk him out of it Ric goes to Stanford and orders the best video makers there to put together this.

2010

  • 1/04/2010: After twelve years of animosity and bitter resentment, Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart finally bury the hatchet.

2011

  • 4/11/2011: After successfully defending the World Title at Wrestlemania 27, Edge announces his sudden retirement from WWE. The whole speech is sincere and honest, and the shock and sadness of the fans is soon replaced with adulation and respect.

2012

  • 7/16/2012: You have to admit, dancing in the ring with their dad Rikishi had to be a pretty surreal, heartwarming moment for Jimmy and Jey Uso.
  • 7/23/2012 From the 1000th episode of Raw.
    • Vince starts the show.
Vince: Wow, 1000 episodes!! First off I just like to say: thank you.
(The crowd chants back "Thank You, Vince!!" as he stands teary-eyed.)
Vince: Also I would like to say WELCOME TO MONDAY NIGHT RAW!!!
    • The reunion of DeGeneration X starts off, but something's missing...
Triple H: Didn't there used to be more of us?
      (The WWE unverse rejoices.)
Triple H: I can't hear you, I said didn't there used to be more of us?!
(The WWE unverse rejoices louder, "Break It Down" starts back up cueing X-Pac and the New Age Outlaws rolling out on a jeep, stepping into the ring and hugging HHH and HBK and finally for the first time the original duo of The Showstopper and The Game along with DX Army's Kid, Dogg and Assman crotch chop and shoot pyro.)
  • 11/12/2012: The return of Jerry Lawler after his heart attack. Specially heartwarming when Cole and Lawler hugged each other, as the last time Cole saw Lawler he was being carried out of the arena.

2013

  • 9/16/2013: Before Daniel Bryan goes up for his match against Roman Reigns of The Shield, the other wrestlers come forward to wish him good luck. Hell, he even got a hug from Brie Bella of the Bella Twins (whom he is dating in Real Life)!
    • And when he's getting thrashed by Randy Orton and The Shield, a small group of wrestlers came out into the ring and helped him fight them off. The show ends with Bryan hoisted onto the Prime Time Players' shoulders as they all cheered in victory.

2014

  • 4/14/2014: Just one week after the Ultimate Warrior's last appearance on RAW, the superstars would then pay tribute to him.
  • 6/23/2014: At the end of Vickie Guerrero's retirement match against Stephanie McMahon—a mud wrestling match she lost, but got a measure of revenge against the "Billion Dollar Princess"—she was sent off by a surprise playing of her departed husband Eddie's final ring intro, "We Lie, We Cheat, We Steal". A well-deserved swan song for what became one of the most memorable WWE characters of The Aughts.

2016

  • 2/8/2016: The retirement of Daniel Bryan. Also counts as a Tear Jerker.
  • 4/4/2016: Shane McMahon comes out to shake Vince's hand (and admit "You won."), and to thank the audience - cue the audience chanting back "Thank you, Shane!" while Shane gets a little misty-eyed.
    • As Shane is walking offstage to the crowd's protests, Vince stops him, informing him that "Nobody upstages me!" before handing control of Monday Night RAW over, to the delighted crowd's chants of "Let him run it!".
  • 6/20/2016: The crowd's very loud "YOU DESERVE IT!" chant during Dean Ambrose's post-championship win promo (Dean finally won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship during the previous night's Money in the Bank PPV). He just stands there and soaks it in, and you can see the small smile on his face.
  • 7/25/2016: After winning the women's championship from Charlotte in a hard-hitting match, Sasha Banks is interviewed in the ring afterwards and nearly breaks down in tears of joy. The entire crowd is on her side, chanting "You deserve it!". Even after losing Charlotte is shown for a split second smiling as Sasha celebrates in the ring.

2017

2020

  • After R-Truth managed to make Brock Lesnar corpse during a promo (by thinking he would be fighting Paul Heyman in the Rumble) Brock pulled R-Truth aside (who was scared before hand that he'd upset Brock due to the promo being a prank against him) and told him they HAD to work together in the future because he thought they would be great together. R-Truth was clearly moved when he spoke about this later.
  • 5/11/2020: Becky Lynch revealing to Asuka that her win at the PPV the previous night wasn't just for a shot at her title — she won the Women's Title. Asuka's reaction to her revealing why she has abdicated the title is adorable.
Becky: You go and be a warrior, cause I'm gonna go be a mother.
    • Acting in the Dark: Asuka knew absolutely nothing about either piece of news, so the ensuing Squee was genuine.
  • 11/16/2020: One thing that truly upset the WWE universe was that when Drew McIntyre won the championship at Wrestlemania it was in an empty stadium with no crowds cheering him. Cue the Raw before Survivor Series and Drew wins back the title but this time, thanks to the Thunderdome set up, he gets to be surrounded by screaming, cheering fans; Drew finally got his moment.
  • 12/28/2020: Crossing over with Tearjerker but despite the face that he was working for their biggest competitor, WWE still paid tribute to Luke Harper with an "In Memory" at the beginning, various superstars speaking up about him as a person, and Xavier Woods having a black armband with "Brodie" written on it and doing his Discus Clothesline during a match.

2021

  • 9/13/2021: Kofi Kingston returning the favor Big E did when Kofi won the title, running down to the ring with Xavier Woods and celebrating with Big E when he won the WWE Title.
