• On February 5, 1976 a freak snowstorm hit the San Francisco Bay Area, dropping one to two inches on the ground, a snowfall that Vince Guaraldi would've witnessed firsthand. One day later, he died. So the creator of one of the great Christmas albums got to see snow just before he left this world. Also worth noting, it hasn't snowed in San Francisco since then.
