Ironmouse

• In April 2020, Mouse put up a donation goal of $2,000 for "A Better Workspace" with a timer set for 243 days. This goal was immediately reached in just nine minutes, including a single viewer donating $1,000 before she was even able to finish explaining what the goal actually means ^note (Mouse's condition means she's mostly bedridden, so she calls her bed her "workspace"; she had difficulties setting up her bed to be a comfortable workspace), which wound up driving her to tears.
  Mouse: (Crying) I've lived so many years feeling embarrassed and feeling ashamed about being who I am, and about my body not working properly. But you guys help me feel so normal. So thank you for helping me feel human. I love you guys so much.
  • After reaching her goal, Mouse was so emotionally happy, that she had to temporarily shut off mid-stream to try to recuperate herself.
    Mouse: (Crying) I’ll be right back. I need to take a tiny break. Is that ok? I'm Sorry.
• The Toys for Tots charity event on December 22, 2020. Nearly $2,000 was raised before any streaming had even started, and by the time it was over they'd not only demolished their initial $25,000 goal but also breezed by their joke goal of $69,000, eventually finishing at a little over $71,000. Among the donations were $4,000 given by a single viewer, as well as donations from VShojo and even Melody's "other site." Many Tears of Joy were shed both during and after.
• During the 2021 New Year's celebration in VRChat, a drunken Melody runs away from everyone else, thinking she was making everyone uncomfortable. Mousey was quick to go check on her, assuring her that she did no such thing, on top of the two telling each other they're lovely, that they make so much sense to each other, and are grateful to have met. It's absolutely adorable and sweet to see how much the two appreciate one another.
• Mouse's stream celebrating her birthday in January 2021. She was sent a video compiling several clips provided by various fans and colleagues in which they talked about their appreciation for her and wished her well on her big day.
  • Much of the stream could count as this, especially during the roller coaster ride in VRChat where she's having the time of her life.
• Mouse may have a Vitriolic Best Buds relationship with CDawgVA, and their streams mostly involve them fighting and insulting each other, but they do have their Aw, Look! They Really Do Love Each Other moments. In one stream, Connor hears some crackling and says it sounds like a Geiger counter next to the mic; turns out it's Mousey's oxygen tank. Connor immediately stops insulting her, apologizes profusely, and calls himself an asshole. Mousey, sounding sad, apologizes for the sound and that "it's annoying, I know," to which Connor says she doesn't need to apologize. He tries his best to comfort her and make her feel better, including telling her that he thinks she's "extremely badass" for doing the things she does despite her medical condition, and that he has an enormous amount of respect for her. You can tell Mousey appreciates his kind words and encouragement.
  • Mouse would later do a reaction to this clip, laughing about it and mocking her tone of voice while explaining some of what happened. She retroactively found it hilarious how this interaction went down. She would defend Connor's apology and take his side, and would tell everyone not to be upset with him over what was a genuine mistake. Very heartwarming that, despite their ribbing, she knew he was trying to joke around and just did not know what the noise was.
• Mouse's first playdate stream with Calliope Mori is basically two hours of them fangirling each other and supporting each other's dreams and aspirations.
• Mousey's "4th Year Streaming Anniversary Charity Stream" (on behalf of The Immune Deficiency Foundation) is full of these moments:
  • Melody leaves a $5,000 donation and this message:
    Melody: I know how important this Charity is for you. I am really happy you are able to support them like this. It wasn't luck that got you here and inspired the hearts of our generous communities, it was your personality, passion, kindness and insanity. Thank you for existing Mouse! I love having you in my life.
  • Nyanners donated $1,000 and left the following message on her Twitter:
    Nyanners: The world is a better place because Ironmouse exists.
  • Mousey's reaction when she reached her donation goal of $10,000 in less than 15 minutes.
  • CDawgVA pretty much confirming that Mousey is cute in real life too, in full cursed Ironmouse cosplay no less. What makes this especially heartwarming is that it's clear from the conversation that Mousey doesn't think she looks good in real life. When she asks him to stop lying, Connor further clarifies that, no, her real-life self is indeed beautiful and that he wouldn't have said something like that unless he really meant it. This is enough to make Mousey squirm with joy.
  • In the end, she was able to raise more than $100,000. Her reaction when she saw how much she managed to raise for an organization that means so much to her is both heartwarming and heartrending.
  • And even after that, Melody talked about Mousey being the strongest person she knows.
• Mouse talking about her performance during "VILLS Vol.3," and how it was a dream come true for her. She thought that due to her condition and the limitations it's imposed on her, she would never be able to sing live on stage in front of a live audience, but thanks to modern technology she was not only able to do it but absolutely kill it!
• Mousey's Christmas present to her parents: She paid off their freaking house!
  Mouse: My mom was crying and telling me she didn't deserve this. I told her to shut the fuck up because she totally deserved it... Except I didn't say "shut the fuck up" to my own mom, because if I did, I wouldn't be streaming today.
• Pretty much everything during Mouse's stream on January 27, 2022, when Connor took Mouse on a virtual IRL tour of Tokyo. Mouse, who hasn't been able to leave her room for years, is ecstatic just to see grass and loves every bit of the tour. Special appreciation for the fact that Connor spent over five hours walking around Tokyo.
  • During the tour, Connor spent a considerable amount of money trying to win a Cinnamoroll plushie she set her eyes on, in a crane game. Said plushie is currently by her side and it's now one of her most valuable possessions.
  • The Revice belt that Connor bought for her is one as well because not only is she a huge fan of toku shows, but the noises she makes while playing with the belt are nothing short of adorable. And Connor can't help but grin at her glee over the belt.
• During Mousey's 2022 subathon, everyone she knew, from fellow VShojo members to independent VTubers like Haruka Karibu(indie at the time) and Lord Aethelstan to livestreamers like CDawgVA and Chris Broad helped her out. From simply keeping her company, to screaming "RAISE THE TIMER," to hosting Mousey's "Sleeping Streams," they really made sure that Mousey's subathon would be as successful as possible.
• This tweet by "Radioactive 18+ VTuber Radia" (who needs frequent visits to the hospital for radiation therapy) really shows the difference someone like Ironmouse makes in the world:
  RADIA: A heartwarming story from my hospital visit this week. I was casually talking to my nurse, ended up on the topic of plasma treatments as well as the shortage. She mentioned an increase in young people donating, she cited a metal mouse inspired them to donate for the first time.
• For Thanksgiving 2022, Mousey happily admitted to being thankful for everybody in her life, including Connor, who she describes as a wonderful person.
• After a brief time away, Connor's return to streams with Mouse is kicked off by this.
  • What's even cuter is that it doesn't even take long for them to start arguing like they usually do!
• During Ironmouse's 2023 Subathon, former member Nyanners called to offer her support to Mousey. Nyan and Mouse might be in different agencies now, but the two are still on good terms and are still very important to each other.
• When Ironmouse was featured on El Nuevo Dia, one of Puerto Rico's biggest newspapers, someone took a picture of the whole 2-page article and posted it on Twitter. Mousey's reaction to the tweet is both heart-warming and heart-rending.
  Mouse: Thank you, for giving me my life back.
• In a moment that's equal parts this, funny, and awesome, Ironmouse won Content Creator of the Year at The Game Awards 2023, the first VTuber to do so. As she was streaming the show live at the time, Mousey erupted in genuine shock upon learning she'd won, before breaking down into Tears of Joy for a solid fifteen minutes afterwards. Her prerecorded message thanked the community she'd built up for their constant support, first and foremost.^note The reason Ironmouse didn't realize she'd won when she was asked to record a message for the Game Awards is that she assumed all of the entrants in the category had to record such a message, presumably in the event they couldn't attend personally.
  • During her stream, various friends and co-workers all came to congratulate her, along with her live chat being flooded with messages of congratulations, causing Ironmouse to break down crying out of sheer happiness a few more times.

• When Nyanners celebrated reaching 1,000,000 subscribers on YouTube, she received a video much like Mouse's mentioned above, leading to many audible Tears of Joy from her as both fans and fellow VTubers reminded her that, despite her apparent low opinion of herself, there's a reason why she hit this milestone.
• During one of the fanart showings in "Death & Debts," the group come across a picture they seen before the start of the session that made them tear up in joy: A picture of them all playing Dungeons & Dragons. This especially hit Mouse hard, because she was amongst friends and sitting beside them.
  • After Mouse tells Momo she can't sit up normally because of her condition when the latter asks why sitting seemed significant to her, Momo sweetly notes Mouse can sit up on her lap.
• In the "Otikata's Curse" 0.5 Session, Nyanners shows her initial sketch of her planned character. Despite her usual self-deprecating attitude about it, the Tearn Warlock quickly became a Breakout Character among the stream's viewers, and ended up receiving a virtual pile of fanart by the time the stream was over.
• In Noble's Nekopara collab featuring Melody, Mouse, Nyanners, and Nagzz21:
  • At the start of the Vol. 2 playthrough, Nagzz continued speaking like Toad for his voice as Vanilla. While everyone else cracks up at this, Mel can be heard squeeing adorably upon hearing it, clearly giddy to hear it once more after her, Noble, and Nagzz's playthrough of Vol. 1 ended a while earlier.
  • Upon discovering the pet feature, the girls all absolutely squee in delight, finding the feature cute and enjoy seeing it be put to use, with Mouse in particular demanding many of them as Azuki.
  • Throughout the playthrough, Azuki says some mean-spirited things, especially to Coconut. When seeing this, rather than say them most of the time, Mouse chooses to ignore them and typically says something sweet instead; for instance, when Azuki notes that Coconut works slow but that's better than being useless, Mouse instead says she's "the most wonderful catgirl I've ever met in my life!" (and instead calling Kashou useless). Mouse can play a mean tsundere to a T, but she can't bring herself to say such genuinely hurtful things to someone who doesn't deserve it.
• Silver giving Mouse a really warm virtual hug is all kinds of adorable. Sadly doubles as a Tear Jerker when you consider that due to Mouse's real-life condition, this is something she can't experience in real life.
• The "#VAmongEarth" Among Us collaboration between VShojo ^note (Mouse, Nyanners, Froot, Vei, and Silver) and three Japanese VTubing pioneers - Nijisanji founding member Higuchi Kaede, "Heavenly King" Dennou Shojo Siro, and the Oyabun herself Kizuna Ai - had the VShojo girls expressing a great amount of respect and admiration for their Japanese counterparts, especially Ai-chan. Nyan and Mouse, in particular, expressed how honored they felt to be able to collab with Ai-chan, who had been a major influence on them becoming VTubers themselves.
• Nyanners becoming a guest in the Kizuna Ai Virtual US Tour is easily a Moment of Awesome for both Nyan and VShojo, but there's plenty of Heartwarming to go around as well:
  • Just seeing the flood of support and congratulations from all sides towards Nyan - fans, fellow VShojo members, other VTuber friends, and VShojo staff alike, plus Ai-chan being very complimentary towards Nyan in their interview during the afterparty.
  • Nyan has mentioned on multiple occasions that being able to sing and dance on stage is something that she had dreamed of since a young age, making this the realization of a lifelong dream. Not only that, but she accomplished it alongside two creators, Ai-chan and Teddyloid, that she has shown to hold in high regard.
• This clip from Froot, in which she talks about having been insecure about her voice before taking to streaming and being concerned that people might find it grating. She goes on to mention that she gained a lot of confidence when it turned out that not only do people love her voice, many in her fanbase consider it one of her most endearing traits.
• At the end of Mouse and Zen's playdate on June 5th, 2021, Zen tells her how much she's proud of her on how far she's gone and that her strong will reminds Zen of her late mother. She ends by thanking Mouse for being her best friend. Mouse is deeply touched and filled with Tears of Joy. Zen then encourages her chat to support Mouse.
• Melody created her own webtoon series. While this is not in itself heartwarming, the fact that she based the main character around her good friend Mouse most definitely is.
• There are plenty of moments to be found in Nyanners' 2021 birthday stream:
  • She chose to hold a charity stream for the occasion, with the proceeds going to Child's Play. Chat demolished her initial $35,000 goal within the first 90 minutes of the roughly nine-hour stream, necessitating her bringing out a second list of donation milestone rewards that she had hastily put together just in case, only for her audience to blaze right through that too. By the end, she ultimately raised over $75,000 (and 69 cents, naturally).
  • Anyone who's spent much time with Nyan likely knows that she's perfectly happy to embarrass herself just for the sake of entertaining her audience. So how far is she willing to go for the sake of a cause that she has stated to have a personal belief in? Pretty far, it turns out - when some landscapers working outside of her apartment start making noise that intrudes on her stream, chat gives her the idea to add a donation milestone reward of actually opening the window to yell at them for it. She reaches the goal, though by that point the landscapers had long since left, so instead she has chat provide her with a selection of various random things to say (albeit within reason, nixing ideas that she felt might get her in trouble), and promptly goes to yell it all out her open window at anyone who might happen to be within earshot.
  • On the topic of Nyanners' birthday itself, her mods and fans used Cameo to provide her with some special birthday messages. As one might expect there were some meme greetings delivered by the likes of Johnny Sins and Rob Franzese (aka real-life Peter Griffin), but she also got a special message from Tara Strong, voice of Rikku, who Nyan had cited as one of her main inspirations to get into voice acting and eventually VTubing.
• Silver's huge amount of love for Mamavale, her real-life mother and recurring guest. The end of their Christmas 2020 stream stands out in this regard.
• While interviewing Takahata101 of Team Four Star during Episode 7 of Lewdcast, he brings out his pug Gregor at one point. What follows is about two minutes of squealing as the girls gush over how cute he is.
  • Melody asks if he's "the talking type," which prompts Taka to shush everyone before Gregor lets out a little squeak! Even their subtitler reacts with a little "omg."
• Silver's playthrough of INSIDE (2016) is filled with plenty of scary moments (obviously) but the scarier aspects of the game are somewhat mitigated by the model she's using.
  • When she gets to the puzzle involving the chicks, her reaction is priceless.
• Just about every time the girls hang out on VRChat. They're always having such a great time with each other.
  • During New Year's Eve 2021 Mousey got for the first time fully connected to a VR set as she joined. The first thing she does is run up to Nyanners and hug her -because she promised Nyan she would be the first. She then proceeds to hug Silver and Snuffy, all the while crying Tears of Joy for finally being able to do something she wasn't previously able to do due to her condition (and, yes, she even gave Connor one).
  • Mouse runs up to Haruka, but stops short of actually hugging her to ask first, being aware that Haruka's autism could make her averse to sudden close contact. Haruka is touched by the considerate gesture and gives Mouse permission to give her VR hugs on sight in future.
  • When Mouse found Zen, the latter was using her gecko model, leading to an awkward if heartfelt hug, and then Mouse apologizing for not being able to hold gecko!Zen's hand because she was still in bed and couldn't reach low enough. Zen immediately switched to her humanoid model, then gave Mouse a proper bear hug instead as she expressed how proud she was, leaving Mouse crying more Tears of Joy into her chest the entire time.
• Nyan and Aethel revealing they are dating is heartwarming enough by itself, but the absolute outpouring of love and support from the VTuber community and fans is truly astounding. This is especially big given how many times VTubers in the past, mainly those in Japan where idol culture is big, have received negative backlash just from rumors of a significant other, but with these two it's nothing but praise.
• While they were hanging out in a bar in LA, Connor, Nyan, and Aethel constantly sending Mouse pictures of their time together, as if she was there with them.
• The company buying billboard advertisements (including larger static signs, and video billboards at Akihabara Station in Japan with their models) resulted in such reactions across the entire group (including Silver and Melody).
• Kson's lore video announcing her debut on VShojo has this in spades. It starts with the eight then-current members welcoming her at the LA Convention Center, and then goes into Kson's backstory as a delinquent girl dedicated to helping everyone she met, calling it the happiest days of her life. It ends in a bittersweet note as all her friends move on with their lives, but stating that she will always cheer them on in her heart.
  • Also, if you were a fan of hers in one of her previous lines of work, her story and message takes a whole other meaning...
• The way Amemiya Nazuna was warmly embraced by all of the VShojo members and Twitch's VTubing community:
  • Both Zen and Mouse called her precious and declared that they will protect her at all costs.
  • The fan community has had similar reactions. Some perceptive fans have deduced her former identity and, given what had happened in her past, are very happy for her - the general consensus being that the past is in the past, "Nazuna is Nazuna," and that she needs to have the necessary space to grow and flourish on her own terms.
  • In general, Nazuna speaking English. While it's not her first language (that would be Japanese) and she doesn't seem to be fluent in it (yet), the earnestness is there and it's adorable.
• During one of her English lesson videos with Kson, Nazuna took the time to call their guest Oni Giri beautiful. Giri was very flattered, and proceeded to turn Nazuna into a blushy mess by calling her cute. This led to Kson jokingly scolding the two of them with a "No flirting in my classroom!"
• Henya's debut stream and the way she was embraced by her audience, is this, especially if you were a fan of her previous identity.
  • At first she tries to hide who she is, actively suppressing her Verbal Tic and Signature Laugh... and fails miserably, because too much of her previous persona has become ingrained to the person she is right now. She inevitably slips... and the chat goes along with it, helping her ease into her new skin.
  • She eventually accepts that she Cannot Keep a Secret, embraces her flaws, stops suppressing herself and starts openly having fun with her chat again. Meanwhile the audience accepts that this is her new identity now and agrees to keep her Open Secret, a secret.
  • By the end of the stream, she is interacting with the chat like she has known them for years and the chat is ecstatic to have their precious friend back, albeit in an upgraded "electric kettle" form.
  • When Kson inevitably slips and calls her by her previous identity, both of them yell "WASURERU (FORGET) BEEAAAM!!" at the audience. The audience plays along and then types "Hi, first time here", in order to protect Henya's Open Secret. The "WASURERU BEEAAAM - Hi, first time here" interaction later becomes a Running Gag between Henya and the audience, whenever she lets slip something she shouldn't have.
• During a Minecraft stream; Henya, Ironmouse and ProjektMelody would all end up crying at some point and getting emotional. Mouse and Melody were ecstatic over Henya joining VShojo, Mouse propped up Melody who was tired of being called the "pervert" of the group by people who dislike VShojo, and Henya was grateful that Mouse and Melody were such great friends to collab with. Both Melody and Henya took a brief moment from the stream to collect themselves.
• The story of how Kuro ended up in VShojo. According to himself, he was up to his eyeballs in tax problems, and was reaching out to anyone he could find, including people he only knew in passing... like Ironmouse. She put him in touch with theGunRun who spent the next four months helping Kuro get his affairs sorted out.
  • Made even better when you realize that this was before the notion of him joining VShojo was even brought up. In other words, Gunrun had zero incentive to help him out, but did so anyway just because he's that great of a guy. Unsurprisingly, this earned Kuro's loyalty pretty much immediately, and it was him who approached VShojo about joining after the fact.
• Matara mentioned that, just after her debut ended, she entered the VShojo Discord chat, and all of the other talent immediately began Squee-ing and screaming joyful support and congratulations at her, a tradition that Geega apparently started. Matara freely admits that she was outright bawling from happiness.
