Heartwarming / The Snow Queen (1957)

Go To

  • After the robber girl is redeemed by Gerda's kindness and sends them off to save Kay, she realizes how cruel she's been to her animals and, sobbing, sets them free, turning them all loose. The animals feel sorry for her and they surround her; she doesn't try to drive them away. It's implied that they stay with her simply because she grows into a better friend.
  • After Kay has been living with the Snow Queen for several months, she tells him that there is no such thing as joy, beauty, or love. He agrees on the first two, but when she asks him about love he counters that it must be real because of his memory of Gerda.
