• The re-discovery of The original manuscript, and it being published to help Quine's family.
• Strike insisting a paparazzi keep the Woman Scorned who gave him some information out of the story about a Sleazy Politician.
• Strike giving Jerry Waldegrave evidence confirming that his daughter wasn't conceived during his wife's fling with Fancourt, something which has clearly been bothering Waldegrave, especially since the book came out.
