    Season 1

Mendings, Major and Minor

  • Quentin learns that his father has an inoperable brain tumor and spends the entire episode trying to find a magical cure. At the end of the episode, he comes to accept that he can't fix his father's health but uses magic to fix a model airplane from his childhood, symbolically repairing their relationship.

    Season 2

Knight Of Crowns

  • After passing the knight's test, Eliot takes the crown and goes to put it on his head. Quentin stops him and insists on some sort of small ceremony and crowns him.
Quentin: Destiny is... it's bullshit. But you are High King in your blood. And somehow that makes sense, you know? And I-I just—for what it's worth, I think that you are going to be a really good king. So, um, I dub thee, I don't know. Would you say, like, you're more brave or merciful?
Eliot: I'd say I'm neither. But I still plan to be a spectacular monarch.
Quentin: I hereby dub thee High King Eliot the Spectacular.

    Season 3

The Losses of Magic

  • The Muntjac has been taken over by pirates, who want Margo to let the ship mate with their own. Once it's explained that the situation is basically rape, Margo tries to ask the Muntjac what it wants to do and give it a choice in the matter despite the fact that as High Queen she can order it to mate with the other boat.

A Life In The Day

  • The entire montage of Eliot and Quentin growing old and having a family together with Quentin's wife and son is sweet on its own, but special mention goes to the end, when Quentin reads the letter while Eliot eats the peach and they both start to remember the alternate timeline.
Eliot: You had a wife. And we had a family.

Do You Like Teeth?

  • In the scene where Eliot and Quentin are discussing the next key quest, they both want to do the quest with each other, like the previous episode, but Eliot says he can't and pulls Quentin into a hug and kisses his forehead.

Poached Eggs

  • In contrast to how he acted earlier in the season, when Eliot sees Fen and Fray again after they get back from the city, he makes a point of saying that he does want Fray to like things and it's made clear that he's at least trying.
  • Despite his initial reluctance, Eliot is willing to give up the eggs that they stole from the fairies (and thus what leverage they have against the Fairy Queen) because he wants to protect Fray from being hurt.
Eliot: We've gotta give her the eggs.
Margo: There's got to be another way. That's our only leverage.
Eliot: I know, but she's my daughter.
Margo: We have a whole country to think about!
Eliot: I can't be the dad that turns his back on his kid.
    • A more minor moment is the fact that Eliot's willingness to give up the eggs and his insistence that he can't risk hurting Fray because she's his daughter, despite the fact that she betrayed them moments before, is what makes Fray decide to reveal the truth and derail the Fairy Queen's attempted blackmail about not being their real kid.
  • Later, when Fen is beating herself up for not knowing that their real daughter was still-born, Eliot comforts her and tells her she was a great mom. And then he sends her back to Earth so that she doesn't have to be there while mourning their daughter.

All That Josh

  • While sailing towards the Infinite Waterfalls and, as far as they know, their deaths, Eliot and Margo get a brief minute and talk about how, despite all the stuff that's happened to them, they've always had each other.
Eliot: Well, whatever happens, thank you for giving us the time where we can just speak with no bullshit and just say... I love you, Margo.
    Margo: I know.
  • The fifth key grants the eight (Quentin, Alice, Eliot, Margo, Penny, Julia, Kady and Josh) the ability to hear each other in their heads. With Margo and Eliot about to fall to their deaths, Josh about to be beaten to death and Julia struggling to save a fairy's life, Quentin decides to cast a musical spell to unite them. The eight, even Penny, then sing Under Pressure together. This renewed sense of togetherness allows each to overcome their struggles: Julia grows her seed of power and saves Skye, Margo is able to get the Muntjac to fly and save herself and Eliot, Kady, Quentin and Alice are able to stop the crowd from killing Josh and Josh renews his faith in his friendship with the group.
Everyone, together: Give love, give love, give love, give love, give love, give love, give love, give love...

The Art of The Deal

  • Fen sets aside her feelings on the fairies and helps the Fairy Queen rescue the fairies enslaved on Earth.
  • Eliot and Margo, despite being deposed and sentenced to death, both use what contacts they have in King Idri and the Floater Queen to put a stop to the Lorian/Fillory/Floater war before it can wreck Fillory because they still care about it.

The Fillorian Candidate

  • On the cusp of restoring magic, Quentin realizes his father's magical cancer will likely come back if he does so. He pays Ted a visit, telling him about everything, and admits that he didn't come to ask permission, but to tell his father face-to-face what he plans to do. For his part, all Ted asks is what Quentin named his son in "A Life in the Day", and is pleased when Quentin says he named him Ted.
  • Eliot is incredibly proud of Margo for winning the election, and it shows every time he looks at her from the second he kneels to swear fealty. (Even more so because he initially wouldn't put her on the ballot out of fear it might cost them the election, which clearly hurt her deeply.)
  • The Fairy Queen gives Margo a new eye just because. The key was the payment for their land grant, so she already held up her end of the bargain—the eye was a real gift. These two will probably never be best friends, but they've come a long way from "fuck her right in the Egg McMuffin". Human-fairy relations may finally be based on something other than mutual distrust and underhanded deals.

Will You Play With Me?

  • Quentin uses the magic Julia gave him to talk to the knight and promises that, if she'll open the door for them and distract the monster, he'll take her place so she can be free after being there for centuries.
    • When he tells everyone this, Alice, Margo and Eliot all try to argue against it and try to convince him otherwise.
  • As bad as it turns out for everyone, Eliot shoots the monster with the god-killing bullet with the intent of keeping Quentin from having to become the new jailer for the rest of his life.

    Season 4
All That Hard Glossy Armor
  • When the Birthright Lizard-as-Eliot serenades Margo as a greeting and as a goodbye. It may not actually be Eliot, but it's clearly just as big a fan of her as he is.
  • Although not explicitly stated, Margo drawing strength from the lullaby her father once sang her could be said to indicate her coming to terms and accepting the good and bad of their relationship.

The Secret Sea

  • The Monster's sister notices that he's changed thanks to his life of independence among the humans. He's crestfallen to think that she's disappointed in him, but she's quick to assure him that that's not the case, gently brushing his hair out of his eyes.
