In the ending, Yukino wraps her arms around Takao and lets him know exactly what he means to her — namely, giving her courage to face her life and a reason to get up in the mornings and keep going every day. By the end of it all, she can do nothing more and nothing less than sob "YOU SAVED ME!" in gratitude over and over again.
