All spoilers on this page are left unmarked. You Have Been Warned!

  • The girls happy reactions upon reuniting with Tenchi after they previously believed him to have been killed by Kagato.
  • Washu's interactions with Baby Taro.
  • Ayeka and Sasami in episode 9. No matter Sasami's 'secret', her sister loves her.
  • Ryoko holding back in her fight with Kagato because she didn't want to accidentally hurt Ayeka, and Ayeka using her power to protect Ryoko for a moment. It goes to show that despite how much they fight and get on each other's nerves, deep down they are friends.
  • Episode 3 has the recently-born Ryo-Ohki's attempts to cheer up Ayeka when she's homesick for Jurai. Especially so after Ryo-Ohki is Ryoko's spaceship reborn, and initially had little reason to like her. Only when the cabbit gave her a flower when she was upset did Ayeka start to warm to her. Also, her burgeoning affection for Tenchi: The two didn't meet on favorable terms initially, especially after a misunderstanding when Ryoko was intentionally yanking her chain by telling her that Ryo-Ohki's egg was actually her and Tenchi's love child. Though when Ayeka sprains her leg, Tenchi helps her find out what became of her missing half-brother and fiancee, Yosho. Convinced he's still alive, Ayeka apologizes to Tenchi for how she acted earlier and returns Yosho's sword to him - especially important since she held it since her introduction episode in the hopes of finding him, and giving it back to Tenchi shows the trust she now has of him.
  • The scene in Episode 7 where there's suddenly a swarm of Ryo-Ohkis in the shed, each with a carrot. Tenchi gives in and allows them to have one carrot each. They all happily meow and fly back into the crashed ship with their carrots as they morph back into crystals.
    Sasami: So many Ryo-Ohkis!
    Washu: Such naughty crystals.
  • Ryo-Ohki's depression in Episode 10 causes the MASS to aggregate into a humanoid entity, unleashing a potentially devastating threat against the Masaki household. It falls into this territory when it's revealed that the sole reason it took place was because Ryo-Ohki wanted to be of more help to Tenchi - and ultimately leads to her attaining her own humanoid form, which leads to many more moments in kind.
  • Zero-Ryoko's reaction to Tenchi whenever he appears. It's reinforced at several moments that she possesses all of Ryoko's memories and feelings, and that she is simply much less restrained about displaying them. The whole episode proves that Ryoko genuinely cares for Tenchi to an extent that she's never been able to properly communicate. Zero's ability to do so is the reason Ryoko eventually agrees to merge with her, leading her to become a much kinder and more balanced person going forward.
  • The heart to heart that takes place between Nobuyuki and Yosho on the eve of Nobuyuki's second wedding in Episode 22. Yosho sincerely thanks Nobuyuki for taking care of his daughter, helping to steady her and at the same time convince her that Earth has more value than may appear at first glance. That this takes place between a pair who frequently serve as the comic relief just makes it that much more powerful.
  • Despite being a mad scientist with some... questionable parenting techniques, Washu does love Ryoko. She always refers to Ryoko as her daughter, never just an experiment or a creation, has her own pet name for her (Little Ryoko), and makes it clear that she respects her daughter's autonomy and ultimately just wants to help her mature as a person.
