  • His reaction to a speech at the end of the Christian propaganda film Rock: It's Your Decision. The main character delivers a speech denouncing the evils of rock 'n' roll music, and at one point states that some of the evil rock musicians are "admitted homosexuals." Brad (not the Snob, Brad) stops the film and mutters, "Kid... go fuck yourself." He looks pissed, and then states that, while he was willing to sit through the film and listen to the Designated Hero rail against rock music and musicians, sex, and fun in general, but he will not allow the protagonist to preach homophobia. He finishes up by saying that the protagonist and the people like him are terrible people for hating those who have different views, and that the protagonist most likely committed suicide a few years after the film. To see such a popular reviewer take a very strong stand against homophobia means a lot.
    • Even moreso when you learn in Midnight Screenings that his mother is a lesbian. Basically, the film just insulted his mother. And he was NOT going to let that pass.
    • Also, the segment in which Brad defends the list of bands that Jeff accuses of Satanism and immorality, simply by pointing out what their songs are actually about, especially his reaction to "Evil Ways" by Santana.
Brad: Yes, I can see how you would have misinterpreted the line, "You've got to change your evil ways."
    • Brad mentioning that he's not going to criticize Christianity, saying that the people who made the film are fanatics, and that a couple of people aren't the voice for a whole religion.
    • Brad at one point even mentions that, while the youth pastor in the film holds a belief that he strongly disagrees with, at least the guy is nice about it and has clearly given said belief some thought, unlike Jeff who is condemning every person he meets and just regurgitating what other people have told him.
  • The review of Bugs Bunny's Thanksgiving Diet reveals that Brad, for all his Cinema Snob character pours vitriol left and right, really does care about some things. In particular: he's a major fan of Looney Tunes. It's refreshing to see him show a genuine love for something.
  • In Bibleman, Brad is shown to still own the Robocop action figure from his childhood. Well-kept too, because only the sound is broken!
  • The Tequila and Bonetti "Language of the Heart" episode review gets one in the beginning simply for the fact that the show's bizarre yet very enjoyable charm was able to lift Brad's spirits up from the bad funk he was in. Even more heartwarming if you know WHY he was in a depressed mood.
