  • Ken's dad giving both Ken and Ryu boxing lessons while Gouken watches. We also see where they both get their trademark stances from.
  • Ken and Ryu's scene on the roof in episode 4. He tells Ryu that he's come to realize why his father left him with Gouken and Ryu when he was younger and admits that he was too young and spoiled to understand and appreciate it. When Ryu asks Ken if he's going back to the USA with his dad, Ken tells Ryu that he's going to stay and finish his training and that the latter and Gouken are his family.
  • Episode 9 has Goutetsu telling Gouken that he is proud of all that he has accomplished and that he will pass on what he learns of life and combat. Gouken feels the same and is told to embark on his warrior's pilgrimage.
  • Episode 12 is full of this, from Gouken telling Ken that he is now the big brother to Ryu, Gouken commending Ken for his mental and emotional growth, etc.
    • Gouken telling his pupils that they have grown since they've started and now he sees them as men and warriors. He hands Ryu and Ken the brown traditional Ansatsuken fighting gloves that can withstand Hadou. Ryu, Ken, and Gouken train for one last time.
    • Ryu and Gouken bidding each other farewell. It's truly heartwarming to see considering that Gouken has been training Ryu since childhood and considers him like a son. After Gouken gifts Ryu with his trademark "Furinkazan" belt, they hug, almost like father and son.
    • After Ryu and Ken leave the dojo, Gouken is left in tears. The look on his face could translate to "Goodbye, my sons.....". Also serves as a moment of tearjerking.
