Heartwarming / Sonic Boom Legends – Halloween Special

Although the series isn't in the same continuity as the Main Legends series, the genuine affection between the team isn't lost at all. The page will be updated when more chapters are released.

Chapter 1

• The Ship Tease between Forge and Sophia throughout the chapter is nothing short of adorable.
  • After Alkira makes a light-hearted joke about Forge and Sophia getting married, Sophia admits to herself that she holds Forge in high regard, but respects him, and doesn't want to put the moves on him, in case he doesn't reciprocate, or want to move into a relationship that fast.
  • Likewise, Forge seems to genuinely like Sophia, and internally describes rescuing her as one of the best moments of his life. Again, however, he doesn't try and pursue her, as he assumes they're not eachother's types.
  • At one point, Forge daydreams about dancing with Sophia, in a world literally made out of sweets.
  • Forge ends up admitting to Sophia that he was responsible for Quayla's injury, she unlitmately ends up forgiving both him and Fixer for it, proud of their honesty.
  • Forge playfully tells Sophia that they're try not to act like fools around "pretty ladies like [her]". He quickly regrets saying that, but Sophia? She seems to disagree.
  Sophia: Such a gentleman Forge is.
• Sophia is no less of a Mama Bear here than she in in canon, immediately rushing when she sees Quayla injured, demanding to know what happened, and making sure she was going to be okay, even afterwards.
• To put it lightly, Shift and Sienna are so friggin' cute in this story.
  • First thing that comes to Shift's mind when he sees her with the gift is how beautiful she is, and after greeting her, can only think about all the things he likes about her. It takes him a few seconds to snap back to reality.
  • Sienna ends up gifting Shift his own pair of hover-shoes, custom made by a friend of hers. It takes Shift no time at all to start squeeing, and he proceeds to pull Sienna into an extremely tight hug. It's absolutely adorable.
    • Afterwards, he thanks her with a kiss on the cheek. Sienna then has a brief moment of Post-Kiss Catatonia. Again, so cute.

Chapter 2

• Sophia, when she's all alone, without anyone else influencing her, comes to the decision to finally ask Forge to the dance party, asking what the harm is in one dance. Too bad almost immediately afterwards, she gets possessed.
• Fixer and Alkira get an absolutely adorable moment, when Alkira teases Fixer about going to bed, saying if she had to, she'd carry him to bed herself, and Fixer blushes in response. It's so friggin' sweet. Again, sucks that after that, Fixer gets possessed, and it all goes to hell, after that.
• Despite being terrified of Possessed!Fixer at first, when Maniac sees that Alkira had gotten hurt, she does everything she can to defend Alkira, all the while trying to not seriously harm Fixer.
  • On top of that, after Possessed!Fixer is knocked down, Alkira quietly breaks down in tears, saying that Fixer hurt her. And Maniac gently pulls her into a tight hug to comfort her.
    • It's a small moment, but before that, Maniac notices that Alkira's bleeding, so she tears off a piece of her shirt, and wraps it around the wound. Big Sister Instinct, indeed.

Chapter 3

• When we begin the chapter, Maniac is still trying to comfort Alkira, who's still in the middle of a panic attack after the events of last chapter. She strokes her head and lets her cry, all the while not walking too fast, just so that Alkira remains feeling sheltered and safe. Just like that, Maniac cements her role as a Cool Big Sis.
• When Maniac and Alkira make it to Alley's house, Alley wastes no time whatsoever getting Alkira to the kitchen, clearly frightened for her safety. She then treats Alkira's cut, and assures Maniac she's safe with her.
  • It's worth noting that Quayla and Mel were also at Alley's house when the two arrived, and as soon as they saw the state that Alkira was in, they stopped everything that they were doing out of concern.
• Maniac assuring Alkira that she wouldn't let anything happen to her again.
• Maniac explains what happened to Alkira to Mel and Quayla, that being Possessed!Fixer hurt Alkira. ^note  Keep in mind, they're still unaware that Fixer was possessed, so for all they know, Fixer did this of his own, free will. And Quayla? She explodes with anger. Maniac's not the only one with a Big Sister Instinct towards Alkira.
  Quayla: *enraged* WHAT?! Fixer hurt Alkira?! With a knife?!
  • Mel is equally furious and upset, asking Maniac how Fixer could hurt poor Alkira. Alkira's got a lot of friends on her side, she needs after what happened.
• Forge, when he's alone at night, molding new swords, he's trying to figure out why Sophia's gotten into his head so much. After a particularly comedic incident involving burning his hand, he rants out loud how annoyed he is at these feelings, before trailing off, and having his own version of a Love Epiphany... before berating himself for saying it out loud.
  • Afterwards, he's greeted by his pet duck, Roger, who was ignored by the other ducks in the pond, and came to Forge for company. And Forge, despite his usual sour demeanor, acts surprisingly gentle towards him, picking him up, cuddling him and petting him on the head. It's beyond cute, it's Cuteness Overload.
    • Roger even convinces him, in quacks, of course, to finally ask Sophia out to the party. Although Forge is a bit hesitant to do so, he finally decides to be brave and take the chance.
• After admiring the shoes that Sienna gave him {and doing a Face Plant when trying it out,) Shift tries to put together how he feels about Sienna (not realizing he's in love with her,) and finally, decides that he wants to ask Sienna out to the party. Even if she says no, which he can accept, he just wants to ask her, so he won't regret if someone else does first.
  • There's something so Adorkable about Shift wanting to fly to her, in order to do so, even if he does end up failing.
• On his way to see Sienna, he meets up with Forge, with whom he has a heart-to-heart with regarding their respective crushes, with them respectively teasing one another about their situations. It's very heartwarming, with the two acting like a father and son.
  • They're then greeted by Roger, who allows Shift to pet him. Shift is, at first, very cautious (especially after Forge warns him that Roger pecks at those he doesn't like,) but quickly warms up to the little duck.
    • Forge also explains to Shift Roger's backstory. When he was a duckling, his family left him alone in a pond, never to return. Forge found him on a walk, and knowing the poor thing wouldn't make it on his own, Forge raised him into adulthood, and then, let him back into the wild. And ever since then, the duck has been loyal to him. Say it with me, now: Awwwwww!
