Heartwarming / Secret Wars (1984)

• When Captain America formally invites the X-Men and Magneto to join forces with the other Marvel heroes. The X-Men had spent the first half of the series working separately, and Magneto did his own thing as well before joining with the X-Men. After the mutants rescue the battered Marvel Heroes from an ambush by the villains, Cap shakes hands with Cyclops and agrees to work with them. Standing behind Cyclops are Storm with her mohawk and Nightcrawler, driving home the image of the outcast mutants finally being accepted by the more conventional heroes. The heroes fight as a single unified team for the rest of the series.
• The Lizard is... Unstable, to say the least. But Janet/Wasp does get through to him, and he's genuinely outraged when the villains attack her.
