Heartwarming / SOS

  • Managing to complete the game with the maximum number of survivors, and thus, getting the best ending for each respective character. Due to some annoying lemming-like mentality of the survivors, random falling objects, and struggling to memorize your way around the map, it's extremely difficult to do so, but the endings make the effort so worth it. It gets even better if you manage to save couples, or in one instance, an entire family along the way.
    • Arguably the most touching ending is Jeffrey Howell's. Elderly couples almost always end up dead or widowed in disaster stories, and to see both Jeffrey and Adela make it out, and enjoy their remaining years together, is pure heartwarming.
  • For some Video Game Caring Potential:
    • Barbara, the dancer at the music hall, is weeping uncontrollably over her husband. If you have the violinist with you, there is a cutscene where he serenades her, giving her the will to live.
    • Francoise and her daughter Mary Maxwell. They are separated, and of course the player reunites them and escorts them out
    • Jack Hamilton. The man he is with wanted to do one good thing - and that was to ensure the player would save Jack.
    • Jeffrey and Adela Howell - who can be rescued if not chosen.
    • Cooper, Stacey, and Pamela Smith, the entire family that is rescued.
