Heartwarming / Run Fatboy Run

• When Dennis pulls through and makes it to the end of the marathon. Jake cheering 'Dad, you won!' is the icing on the cake.
  • Dennis' breaking down the wall, too; he emphasised earlier on that running the marathon isn't about Libby any more, and this sequence proves it; looking through the hole in the wall, Dennis sees only himself encouraging him on to bust through. It's about him becoming a better person than he was, remarkable given his low point earlier in the film.
• Gordon's reaction when Jake runs away. After having a huge fight with Dennis and basically saying he never wants to see him again, Dennis turns up at his door, desperate, to tell him that Jake is missing. Gordon instantly forgets any and all grudges to help.
  • And then, when Dennis finds Jake, the first thing Jake does is look at Dennis and hug him.
