• Rey being blessed by his daughter backstage before a match on Smackdown. Also his world title run.
  • Speaking of his daughter, when Rey announced it was her 9th birthday on Smackdown in early 2010, the whole crowd immediately chants "Happy Birthday!" for her.
• Crowning Moment of Everything: Rey Mysterio's match vs. Shawn Michaels in the tribute to Eddie Guerrero (starting here) was one of the best matches many viewers had ever seen. On top of the perfect sells and counters, the match between Eddie's friends and prayer buddies started with a handshake and ended with a help-up and a tearful hug.
• Royal Rumble 2006. When he drew his place for the event, Vince McMahon said Eddie Guerrero was probably watching over the event, and Rey suggested he had no doubt Eddie was going to influence it. He ended up drawing number two. He acted as if it was a practical joke. Naturally, he ended up winning the event, lasting longer chronologically than anyone ever has before and held the record for 12 years until Daniel Bryan broke it at 2018 Greatest Royal Rumble.
  Rey: Aww, guys, you gotta be kidding me. Eddie... You got me, man... you got me.
  • A bit of Fridge Brilliance here: The previous year, Eddie had tried to swap his Royal Rumble number with Ric Flair's. Eddie had #1, and Flair had #30!
• All of Rey's entrances involve him hanging out with kids who wear his mask. He even gives one of his spares to one of them!
• When Rey entered the Royal Rumble in 2014, he was heavily booed as people wanted Daniel Bryan and cheers when Rey was eliminated. Since then, Rey had lost in almost every match and left the company without a proper send off. 4 years later, Rey returned to the WWE at both the 2018 Royal Rumble match as well as the Greatest Royal Rumble where everybody cheered for him and was actually sad when he was eliminated by Finn Bálor in the former event.
• At Wrestlemania Backlash, Rey Mysterio said that if he and his son Dominick were to win the Tag Team Champions that night, he would consider it one of his highest honors in WWE. They end up winning the match, becoming the first-ever Father-Son Tag Team Champions in WWE History.
• The road to WrestleMania 39 can be summarized with just two words: Eddie Guerrero. On the final Smackdown before the pay-per-view, Rey hands Legado de Fantasma shirts that have the emblem of the Latino World Order on them, reflecting how Eddie led the faction in WCW and tried to coerce Rey to join them. Then, his entrance in the fight against Dominik had Rey and Snoop Dogg riding a low-rider as the entrance theme switched from one of Snoop's songs to Viva la raza! For one magical moment, it was as if Latino Heat came back.
• August 25, 2023. Aka the double tribute to Terry Funk and Bray Wyatt. Rey arrives with an armband having the initials of the wrestlers who passed on, and he even performs Bray's 180 clothesline and senton to Grayson Wallace.
