• Episode 14 of the anime, Shiho is called in to assist in a murder investigation, the look on her face on one of BABEL's telepaths tells her Minamoto has been concerned for her, non-stop.
• Episode 16, after Colonel Grisham's true plan is revealed to the others. At first they thought he was going to defect to a hostile country, and tried to stop him, only to end up on the receiving end of a Curb-Stomp Battle from him. However, Minamoto manages to figure out what was really going on, and ends up helping him, along with Hyobu, oddly enough. His real plan was to use Kaoru's and Mary's powers to remove the water from a dam which flooded the area, and house, the little girl who saved him during World War II grew up in. When he heard she was dying, he tried hard to get stationed in Japan in order to enact this plan so she could see the house one last time. Hyobu chips in by giving them a hypnotic vision and allowing the colonel and the girl, now an old lady, one last look at her house before she passed on.
