Yes, even in a film as oppressively dark as this, there exist Heartwarming moments.
- When the girls are finally rescued, safe and alive. Double the heartwarming because a previous plot point involving a Red Herring culprit had led the audience to believe the girls were dead.
- The Big Bad kidnaps and kills children so their parents will lose their faith of God. As Dover is left trapped in the hole he continues to pray for his daughter's safety.
- Alex Jones/ Barry being reunited with his real parents in the end. (Even if it's just shown through a newspaper clip.)
