• The close of the episode, when Pearl returns the Space Children to their omnipotent parents, is actually pretty warm and fuzzy, with the children professing their love for "Grandma Pearl"; Scooter is in tears and Darlene leans in for a kiss on the cheek just as they vanish into the ether. It's actually a very sweet moment... so of course Pearl has to go and totally wreck the mood.
