Heartwarming / My New Boss Is Goofy

• Crossing over into Tear Jerker territory is Hakutou in episode 3 realising he's happy and safe living with Shirosaki. After hearing Shirosaki muttering in his sleep about how he wants to spend time with Hakutou and wanting to make him happy, Hakutou flashes back to his old owner never spending time with him and nuzzles cutely into Shirosaki's head with his own, declaring that he's already happy.
• In episode 11, Hakutou spends the episode looking for a lost button of Shirosaki's. His reasoning is that he wants to do it for Shirosaki because Shirosaki is kind to him. It's nice to get Hakutou's true thoughts on how much he loves his owner and how grateful he is underneath the heavy layers of tsundere. Shirosaki and Momose would come home and Shirosaki would tell Hakutou that he makes Shirosaki's work stress melt away. Hakutou then realises he has given his owner something in return for being looked after- the unconditional love of a pet.
