Monday Blues
- The girls all cheering each other up after they have a horrible morning. Ending with them all laughing about the event and that "the sunshine is all I see" and "I've got my friends with me and those blues are ancient history".
- On her way to school, late, and in the rain, Sunset nevertheless pauses to scratch a stray cat.
- Sunset and Twilight meet at the pedestal holding the portal between worlds. Twilight shares her umbrella which means Sunset can lower her hood. Then they link arms and walk in together.
Epic Fails
- Sunset's embarrassing moment happens not through clumsiness or lack of awareness like the other girls, but as a result of attempting to save Rarity from her embarrassing moment. A small detail, but one that shows just how far her Character Development has progressed. Could you imagine the Sunset from the first movie risking embarrassing herself to save someone else from embarrassment?
Pet Project
- Sunset adopting Ray the Leopard Gecko. It's pet-owner Love at First Sight. Plus, Fluttershy's excitement in Sunset getting a pet is similar to when her counterpart was asked the same favor by pony Dash.
- Sunset squeeing over the rest of the group's pets before deciding to get her own: A Gecko, that she names Ray. Because he's a ray of sunshine
. It's the cutest thing. - The happiness on Fluttershy's face, because she knows one of her beloved shelter animals gets a home. Anyone who works at an animal shelter can relate.
Subs Rock
- It might be a small thing, but human Twilight's huge smile upon first seeing Principal Celestia is simply heart-melting. She lights up when she hears that Celestia will be teaching her geology class. It's clear Twilight adores her new principal, which might have something to do with Celestia taking her in with no hard feelings at the end of Friendship Games.
- An even smaller moment, courtesy of Celestia. As she leaves the classroom for the first time, she puts Twilight in charge. That's a huge sign of trust, when teachers and students are concerned. Frankly, someday, these two might even form a bond similar to the one between Princess Twilight and Princess Celestia.
The Art of Friendship
- Pinkie is having trouble deciding what to paint, so Sunset suggests she just paint something that makes her happy. So what does Pinkie paint? Sunset Shimmer. In more ways than one.
The Canterlot Movie Club
- The human CMC volunteering to help Pinkie find Gummy.
Coinky-Dink World
- It has Pinkie Pie play matchmaker between two customers at the diner she works at when the young woman realizes the two are perfect for each other. By the end of the short, Pinkie Pie succeeds in getting the two together and has them dance with her and her coworkers.
Good Vibes
- It is all about the various characters helping each other out and making their day a little brighter. It starts with Flash Sentry, who has largely been The Scrappy and spent several movies being either ignored or avoided, catching a prop that Trixie dropped. Trixie starts paying it forward, and each person that gets helped helps someone else, culminating in Sunset noticing Flash's emotional plight for the first time since Legend Of Everfree, prompting her to offer to eat lunch with him, after which the rest of the Humane Six join them. Finally giving him some positive attention after being the The Scrappy of the series for so long.
