Heartwarming / My Hero: Green Light Explosion

• Katsuki is still best friends with Izuku, even after the incident at the park that left him scared, and constantly defends him from their other middle school classmates.
• All Might, instead of telling Izuku he should give up on his dreams, encourages the boy that despite his mistake he can still become a hero.
• Inko supports Izuku's dream to be a hero ever since he was a child and wishes for him to continue to follow his dream of being a hero.
• Hound Dog and Aizawa have a counseling session with Izuku, where after he tells them about the incident at the park, they reassure him that he can be a hero. Midnight then bursts into the room and tackles Izuku in a hug. She then promises not to spread any rumors.
• Izuku helping out his classmates in improving their Quirks.
• During a hangout, Izuku, Tenya, Momo, Tsuya, and Ochaco all reveal their reasons for becoming heroes and each supports the others regardless of their reasons.
• Chapter 11 is chalk-full of them:
  • After Ryoto, a victim of Izuku's Quirk Awakening, reveals the incident in the park, getting the other students to begin to join him in the riot, Katsuki shuts them all up and takes the blame, saying that he's the killer, protecting Izuku.
  • Eijiro believes that Katsuki couldn't have possibly been the killer. Despite knowing how angry the blonde can get, he still believes in Katsuki.
  • Izuku then reveals to Ochaco, Tenya, and Momo what happened when his Quirk awakened. When he finishes, everyone looks at him with compassion, never blaming him for what happened, and even condemning Ryoto for trying to use his trauma as a way to turn the whole school against both him and Class 1-A.
  • Inko asks Katsuki to protect Izuku, and the blonde states he's been protecting him since they were in diapers, and he wasn't going to stop anytime soon.
  • Izuku and Katsuki then have a heart-to-heart where Katsuki constantly tells Izuku that he is the good guy despite all his doubts. He confesses that when Izuku finally began to work toward his dream of becoming a hero again, Katsuki was happy to see the old Izuku back. Izuku then hugs Katsuki who awkwardly returns it. They then promise to meet at the finals of the Sports Festival.
• Before Izuku can even finish worrying about who would team up with him for the Calvary Battle, Katsuki, Ochaco, and Momo all immediately come up to join his team.
• Seeing Neito copy his Quirk while fighting Katsuki, Izuku immediately rushes down to check on his best friend and hugs him. While Bakugou doesn't like it at first, he eventually gives in and returns the hug.
• Ochaco, like in canon, refers to Izuku as “Deku” because she thinks it sounds like “you can do it.” Additionally, she encourages Izuku before his fight against Ryoto, saying that he never fails to impress her.
• Izuku asks Momo on a date.
• Just like in canon, Ochaco has a heartwarming talk with her dad after she lost.
• After his fight with Momo, Katsuki has developed a level of respect for her, enough to use her last name and not 3D-Printer.
• Izuku has a heartwarming moment with Momo in the Nurse's office after her fight.
• Izuku and Katsuki give each other an explosive handshake before their match.
  • Throughout the fight, you can clearly see that the two of them are best friends, enjoying every second of the fight.
• Ryoto is prepared to expose Izuku's secret to the whole world when his cousin, Ryukyu stops him, telling him that it will only work in ruining his life even further and allows him to cry into her chest, comforting him.
• Izuku and Momo go on a date. It went off without a hitch and ended with Momo giving Izuku a nice hug, hoping for another date.
• Izuku joins Shoto for his internship under Endeavor, not just to get better control on his fire Quirk, but to be by his friend's side as he's with his father.
• When Stain criticizes his friends for their attitude and reasons for becoming heroes, Izuku immediately stands up for them, claiming that despite not being perfect, they are all amazing heroes.z
