Heartwarming / Land of the Lost (1974)

• In the first episode of the original series, "Cha-Ka". While hiding in the jungle, the Marshalls are watching the dinosaur's fight. When Holly asks her father why the tyrannosaurus rex is so "grumpy" as he attacks the other animals. For his part, Rick mentions that all animals must eat in order to survive.
• In the third episode, "Dopey". Will and Holly saving Dopey from being eaten by Grumpy. Later as the pair pull their cart full of giant strawberries back to their cave home. Dopey appears, alive and well... now eating all the strawberries from the cart.
• In the sixth episode, "The Stranger". Rick eventually managing to talk down Enik. Which works, causing Enik to apologize to the Marshalls as Will returns Enik's amulet to him.
  Rick: It is not the absence of hate that will save your people, but it is the presence of compassion, and of feeling. If your race can't grasp that, then you are doomed.
  Enik: I perhaps have lost sight of this.
• In "Blackout," the last episode of the second season, Enik visits the Marshalls' home in High Bluff, and later assures Rick that he trusts him. It really shows how far their friendship has come.
• Rick's relationship with Will and Holly. Both wise and knowledgeable, patient, firm but deeply understanding, he really is one of the coolest dads on TV, and he and his kids love each other dearly. For that matter, as much as they bicker, it's always clear that siblings Will and Holly are completely devoted to one another as well.
