  • In chapter one, Valanice helping the spirit of Colin Farwalker ease his tormenting thirst and finally pass on to the afterlife. You can almost feel his relief when he finally drinks that fresh water.
  • Rosella giving the spark to the crystal dragon in chapter two, which restores her fire-breathing and her will to live. Seeing her soaring happily through the sky is enough to put a smile on the sourest of faces.
  • Rosella giving the large gemstone to the troll jeweler, enabling him with the financial means to leave the Vulcanix Underground and make his way in the world. He is thrilled that he can finally start to make his dreams come true, and leaves her with his old hammer and chisel, one of the most valuable tools in her inventory.
  • Valanice returning Treasure the china bird to Fernando in chapter three. And even when first meeting Fernando and seeing how depressed he is, she immediately asks if there's anything she can do to help. She's worried to death over her missing daughter, but she's still willing to help a complete stranger.
  • Rescuing the cat in chapter four. The little creature is so happy and grateful to be free that she gives Rosella one of her lives, insisting on doing so despite Rosella's objection to taking something so valuable.
  • Valanice reuniting the Tsepishes and later Attis and his wife Ceres in chapter five.
  • The last chapter is a roller coaster of the warm fuzzies:
    • After playing Valanice's side of the story, it is extremely rewarding to see her finally find Rosella. Mother and daughter embrace and dance around happily, crying tears of joy.
    • When Malicia breaks up the reunion, Edgar immediately comes between her and Rosella, claiming "No! You'll not touch her!" He really does care for Rosella, after everything.
    • Once Malicia is finallly dealt with, Rosella uses the cat's extra life to revive Edgar. Mere moments after that, Oberon and Titania burst in and are overjoyed to see him, their long lost son.
    • Edgar asking not for marriage, but a proper courtship. He understands and respects Rosella enough to know not to force the issue, and give them both a chance to get to know one another when there isn't some outside threat or pressure over their heads.
