Volume 10: The Oni Who Stands In Line
- Ichiro coming to Asumu's aid against the young man that was about to pulverize him.
- At the end of the episode, Hitomi came by to sit with Asumu by the soccer field. As they shared some snacks, Asumu aplogized for not showing up at the movies. Hitomi then confessed that she dozed off there due to shopping for clothes the day before, so he should come with her the next time to see it. Quite a huge breather for Asumu after everything he went through.
Volume 12: Revealed Secrets
- Midori telling Asumu about her past with Hibiki.
Volume 14: Devouring Douji
- Asumu's mother rushing to the hospital to check on him.
Volume 19: Strumming Warrior
- The Cuteness Proximity of Hibiki and the dog he early ran over, being more concerned for the latter.
Volume 27: Passing Down The Bond
- The gang at the fireworks celebration with watermelons at the end of the episode.
Volume 28: Undying Malice
- Hibiki taking Asumu with him after the latter got beaten up the shoplifter.
Volume 29: Shining Boy
- Upon returning back to the shop, Asumu wondered why his mother was there, which Ikuko replied that she came. Ichiro asked him about his time in the mountains, where Asumu responds that he was amazed by the experience. When Hitomi brought up the rain there, Asumu continued that after that, the stars were beautiful. Hibiki was listening proudly and said that the boy was taking a step forward.
Volume 39: Your Beginning
- Hibiki calling Asumu by his name instead of "boy".
Volume 41: The Awakening Teacher & Student
- Akira generously giving up on being an Oni in favor of convincing Hibiki to take Asumu and Kyosuke as his apprentices. Hibiki agrees, to the two's happiness. Even with the fair share of troubles afterwards plus not lasting long in Asumu's case, that was quite the scene.
Volume 45: Dying A Glorious Death, Zanki
- Zanki congratulating and thanking Todoroki as he fully passes on.
Volume 48: Dreaming Of Tomorrow
- Hibiki catching up with Asumu while the latter was still in his intern shift.
- Asumu trying to save a child that fell off a cliff. He struggles in trying to climb back up and nearly falls back down, only for Kyosuke to grab his arm at the last minute. While Kyosuke claimed that he still couldn't forgive him, he still felt astonished for Asumu's medical dreams.
- Kyosuke admitting to Asumu that the latter is still impressive after they saved Hitomi.
- The final scene of the series: Upon awakening, Asumu shares a discussion with Hibiki on a cliff overlooking the ocean in a scene reminiscent of their first deep discussion two years ago on Yaku island. Hibiki tells Asumu that even if the latter cannot be an Oni, he assures the lad that he could still be his mentor in life.
