As a Moments subpage, all spoilers are unmarked as per policy. You Have Been Warned.

Living in a world with humongous Titans can still evoke heartwaming moments.

  • Prior to Godzilla attacking and killing her, Scylla is seen pointlessly attacking a human city. It gives the vibe that Godzilla decided to finally put her down because of this; there's a difference between defiance and outright cruelty, and after Ghidorah, it's obvious Godzilla is sick and tired of Titans bullying humans for no good reason.
  • Kong's reaction to Doug stealing part of his kill is merely one of annoyance rather than aggression, suggesting that it's a common and regular interaction and he's grown at least a bit fond of the mischievous creature that pesters him for food.
  • When Godzilla wakes up in Rome and starts heading towards the ocean, several annoying helicopters start circling around him. Instead of attacking them, he opts to just drive them off with a roar. While he probably also just wanted to save energy, said roar is one of the gentlest that he's ever been seen giving off, as if he were a big groggy puppy who's just a bit grouchy.
  • Kong seems to be on much better terms with Monarch in general, actively seeking their aid for situations he can't fix himself, like his infected tooth, and allowing himself to be sedated for the operation while the humans no longer restrain him with chains. Compare that to the previous movie where Kong was visibly frustrated with his containment, throwing trees daily at the simulated sky of his enclosure.
  • The fact Trapper is a Titan veterinarian and Kong is explicitly not his only 'client' implies, as suggested in earlier films, there are enough Titans that are docile or even friendly towards humans to make such a profession possible.
    • Also the fact that humans care enough about the benevolent Titans that they go out of their way to make sure they're healthy and happy.
  • Trapper assures Ilene that even though Jia is currently having a difficult time adjusting to her new life, she'll be fine because she has a good mother.
  • Trapper and Ilene's whole Amicable Exes thing, really. They clearly didn't work as a couple because they're way too different, but still respect each others' skills and talents enough to feel fondness.
  • Kong sees a large silhouette approaching from the smoke and readies his axe to fight it off. Suddenly, the silhouette shrinks and exiting out is what seems to be a baby Titanus Kong. Upon seeing the little one, Kong's face changed from rage to tearful relief, having found more of his kind, despite being led into an ambush. He even makes sure to put his axe down to show that he doesn't mean any harm.
    • When one of the apes almost falls off a cliff to his death, Kong pulls him up to safety... only for the Ungrateful Bastard to try and stab Kong, leading to Kong kicking the ape off the cliff to his death anyway in response to that.
  • After killing a giant eel-like creature and cutting it up to eat, Kong offers a small piece of meat to Suko despite the young ape having lured Kong to the pool where the creature lived. Though hesitant at first, Suko does end up accepting the meat. Kong stops eating for a moment to notice it, seemingly pleased that Suko has accepted the offering rather than maintaining his antagonism.
    • Not to mention, after deciding to accept the meat, Suko moves to sit closer to Kong. You can tell that at this point, he's starting to understand that Kong may be legitimately trustworthy and not an enemy.
  • When Kong sees the Hollow Earth tribe of apes, with some essentially acting as guards and wardens while the others are prisoners working as slave labour, one "guard" begins assaulting a prisoner for dropping a boulder, prompting Kong to immediately step in to stop the attack. He may not know the wider implications of this new situation or why the prisoner ape was being punished in the first place, but Kong is a fundamentally benevolent being who will not tolerate bullying.
    • When Suko's caretaker steps in to defend him from Skar King, the latter stands up to his full height to intimidate them. Sensing that he might attack them, Kong immediately puts a hand over his axe. Despite knowing Suko for less than a day and not knowing the caretaker at all, he's still prepared to fight in their defense as soon as he sees that they're in peril.
  • It takes a while, but Suko eventually does come around to being an ally of Kong's. The first beneficial act he does for Kong saves his life: when the latter is being overwhelmed by Shimo, Suko points out an exit for Kong to escape through. Remember that this was shortly after Skar King had killed Suko's guardian, and the young ape is taking a huge risk opposing the former by helping Kong.
  • Mothra returns at long last, arriving in time just to halt Godzilla and Kong's fight in Egypt. While initially stunned by her God Rays, Godzilla is immediately calmed down by her presence, clearly very, very happy to see his queen again - his eyes even soften and widen as he realizes that Mothra is alive. To boot, she even joins them on the adventure this time around to ensure the Skar King is defeated, even Kong seems to be relieved that he has a new friend and ally in his quest.
    • It's noteworthy that all it takes for Godzilla to fully accept Kong as an ally is Mothra vouching for him and presumably telling Godzilla off too, showing how close they are.
  • Mothra once again displays her benevolence and kindness to humans, personally saving the Monarch HEAV vehicle that our heroes were in twice: 1) from one of Skar King's mooks, and 2) from crashing. For the latter, she is seen catching the HEAV and gently setting it down onto the ground. She even bonds with Jia when she finally passed the Trials of the Iwi in order to meet with the Queen herself, much like how she did with Madison Russell upon being born.
  • Kong and Jia’s bond is still just as close as it was in Godzilla vs. Kong as the two are seen doing their iconic finger touch. And this bond even extends to Mothra too, when Jia passes the Trials of the Iwi, showing that Jia truly has an affinity to bond with Titans.
    • Even better, Jia in that brief moment, even gets to see Godzilla eye-to-eye up close and for the first time since the 60's, Godzilla actually bonds with a human. note
    • It's a quick little moment, but Jia's new sign name for Kong is doing a chest beat like he does.
  • Kong and Suko's relationship and how it progresses from the young ape actively trying to get Kong killed to developing a genuine bond with him because Kong repeatedly treats Suko with respect and kindness. Suko is later shown adorably trying to do Kong's iconic roar and chest pound clearly trying to imitate him after saving him from Skar King's goons.
  • When it comes to Godzilla and himself, Kong is also the first one who tries to reach out to the former for an alliance, and even when Godzilla charges him in a rage upon coming back to the surface, Kong straight up refuses to fight him at first and then goes out of his way to try and calm the enraged Kaiju down enough for him to listen.
  • During the zero-gravity fight in Hollow Earth, Suko throws rocks at Skar King's minions and saves Kong. After that, Kong gives him this look spelling "Thanks, kid", showing gratitude and trust to the young ape who formerly tried to get him killed.
  • Later in Rio de Janeiro, Suko saves both Kong and Shimo by snatching Kong's axe that had gotten left behind in the Hollow Earth, taking it through the portal, and using it to smash the crystal that the Skar King used to keep Shimo subservient.
  • After Shimo is freed, her facial expression indicates some kind of surprise and quiet gratitude upon seeing that the other Titans have freed her from her enslavement, much like Godzilla realizing in the last film that Kong was defending him against Mecha-Godzilla. And just like that moment, it is enough to convince her to use her powers to help and defeat Skar King within a matter of seconds.
  • Despite brutally dispatching the other two Titans he faces in the film, at no point does Godzilla seem to actually be trying to kill Shimo, and actively seems to realize how Skar King is controlling her and goes out of his way to free her. The moment the crystal is destroyed, he stops hostilities with her, and even encourages her to join in the tag team finisher on Skar King.
    • Pay close attention to Shimo after the crystal is shattered. Rather than retaliating against Skar King immediately, she only has an expression of confusion and hesitation on her face, looking at Skar King, then Godzilla to see what she should do next. It's not until Godzilla roars at her, apparently telling her to attack, that she does so. It gives off the impression that she genuinely doesn't want to hurt anyone, hesitating to attack even the one who wronged her for millions of years.
    • Alternately, Godzilla may not be ordering her, but giving permission. Letting the one who Skar King hurt the most get the honor of finally defeating him. The novelization supports this, as it's made clear Shimo wants to kill Skar King.
  • After killing Skar King, Godzilla and Kong share a smile, clearly on far better terms with one another than they ended the last film.
  • Shimo, having been freed from the Skar King's cruel enslavement, becomes very gentle and affectionate toward Kong, and even allows him to stroke her on the snout and scratch her chin much like a cat or horse.
    • According to the novelization, Kong and Shimo are "bonded" now.
    • Of note is the awestruck look she gets as Godzilla clears the ice storm she made under Skar's control; seemingly blown away not only at the image but at finally being free.
  • Ilene gets ready to tearfully say goodbye to Jia, thinking she wants to stay with the Iwi tribe in Hollow Earth. Jia then signs to Ilene the same words Ilene said to her earlier: "Wherever we go, whatever we do, we do it together. You. Are. My. Home."
  • Despite never speaking a word, it's clear that the Iwi Queen in the Hollow Earth is a Reasonable Authority Figure, never being anything other than polite and welcoming to Ilene, Bernie, Trapper and Jia and is clearly quite happy that Jia has chosen to stay with Ilene.
  • After defeating Skar King and freeing Shimo from his control, Kong, Suko and Shimo head back to the Hollow Earth Ape tribe, where they let out mighty roars, signifying that Kong is the new King of the Great Apes and his rule will no doubt be through benevolence and respect. He has truly at last, become King Kong, and found a true home to call his own.
    • He also does his mighty roar not sitting atop Shimo's back, as the Skar King had, but standing beside her, as an ally and equal, not as a slave or servant.
    • Also, there are a few close-up shots of the ape that Kong helped up earlier in the movie. You can see that his eyes are tearing up and his lip is quivering a bit, no doubt from being overjoyed that this benevolent stranger has freed them from a life of slavery!
  • The shot of Godzilla closing his eyes as he returns to his new "home" in the Colosseum. After a long hard fought day and saving the world alongside Kong yet again the Big G can finally rest for in peace for the time being.
    • According to the film's novelisation, the reason Godzilla takes up residence in the Roman Colosseum is that it reminds him of his old home that got nuked back in Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019), with a scientist even suggesting he has a "soft spot" for humans despite how things happened in GvK.
    • Godzilla's previous films ended with him either slinking back into the sea oblivious to the fact that he'd be accepted with open arms or asserting his dominance in a way that would make you shudder if he decided to target humanity. For his fourth appearance? He gets cosy in a densely populated city.
  • Despite being the designated character to kill off due to her reincarnation ability, Mothra survives the events of this movie without incident - quite refreshing to see after the thrashing she got in KOTM. Shimo survives as well - a relieving outcome for those who feared that she would get Titanosaurus'd and (seemingly) killed off despite being under mind control the whole time and being benevolent otherwise.
  • According to the novelization, Kong now sees Godzilla and Mothra as part of his family because of the connection they have with the Iwi tribe.
