     Season 1
  • Episode 1
    • The first episode shows heartwarming when Shinra joins Company 8. We saw previously that many people treated him harshly for his Devil's Grin, but Obi sees it as more of a curiosity. He leans over Shinra to trigger it, and then doesn't mention it again.
    • Maki is eager to be a Shipper on Deck for Iris and Shinra. Mistaken for Romance or not, it is a sweet moment.
  • Episode 5
    • Company 8 jumps to rescue their "princess", Iris when it seems she is in danger at Company 5. The only reason Obi wasn't there is because he was delayed laying political cover.
    • Princess Hibana shows a softer side while talking with Iris. Her Trauma Button being pressed causes her to burn away Iris' nun habit, but then she sheds her own Fire Force jacket and gives it to Iris to cover up.
  • Episode 6
    • A flashback shows us what Hibana used to be like at the Sol Temple convent. She Used to Be a Sweet Kid, manipulating her flames to create beautiful fire flowers in the favorite colors of her sisters. She also helps Iris with her shyness.
    • During his fight against Hibana, Shinra decides that it is not Iris who needs to be saved but Hibana.
  • Episode 7
    • The joint-company barbecue is awkward as heck but it still shows that neither side harbors lingering ill will, especially Company 5, since they got curbstomped in their own territory.
    • Obi admits that his original plan for dealing with Company 5 was exploiting Hibana's Big Sister Instinct through Iris. Hibana doesn't argue, suggesting that it would have worked.
  • Episode 8
    • Hibana has thrown her hat in for the role of Company 8's Cool Big Sis. She provides information, advice, lunch, and pretty fire flowers.
  • Episode 11
    • Why did Obi form Company 8? He was disgusted by the behavior in one of the existing companies, who treated fighting infernals like a game. The general public deserved heroes. Hope bringers, not point-scorers.
    • Maki is adorably flattered when she learns that she was recruited for her kind heart in addition to her combat abilities. Hinawa considered her too kind for the military, and that the Fire Force would better suit her temperament.
  • Episode 12
    • Benimaru is Loved by All in Asakusa. The civilians and the fire soldiers respect him. He pitches in to repair the damage caused by infernals (and himself).
  • Episode 16
    • Vulcan is a family man. Seriously, Lisa and Yu live with him, the former cooking for him and the other learning from him as his apprentice. Lisa's situation is especially heartwarming because she started living with him after he found her taking shelter from the rain in an old and broken car.
    • Vulcan's lessons to Yu involve breaking the things Yu made, but this is a lesson in the importance of making quality stuff. Lives might depend on what an engineer produces, so they have to be durable. Likewise, he imparts life-lessons about the bonds between people.
  • Episode 17
    • Here we learn that Hibana has Iris wear a wire so that she can eavesdrop on what's going on around her dear little surrogate sister. It's kinda creepy, but it also demonstrates her willingness to drop everything and run to assist Iris.
    • As he is escaping, Vulcan extends his hand to Lisa despite the fact that she betrayed him and had been a white-clad mole all this time. She doesn't take it, but is it because she doesn't want to go with him or because she wants him to escape?
  • Episode 19
    • Obi tells Tamaki that she doesn't have to follow them into the Nether; she can sit this mission out. She refuses. Though it is a temporary transfer, she is still part of the company and she will help how she can.
  • Episode 21
    • What does Vulcan do when he sees Lisa dressed as a white-clad? Compliment her. He makes immediately clear that her affiliation to the White-Clad doesn't matter, neither does his grudge against the Fire Force. The only thing that matters to him is her.
    • In a nutshell, the episode plays out like a concerned police officer and Lisa's boyfriend are trying to wedge her away from her abusive and domineering father.
  • Episode 23:
    • Sho realizes that Shinra is indeed his brother when he witnesses one of Shinra's memories: baby Sho was crying because a newspaper had blown into his face and he was scared by the darkness, but was "rescued" by Shinra who promised to be Sho's hero if he needs him. The memories cause the present Sho to burst into tears and embrace his long-lost older brother.

    Season 2
  • Episode 1
    • The girls of Company 8 and Shinra go out shopping on their day off, during which they all reassure him that they will help him get his brother back.
    • When he sees Hinawa wearing the ridiculous clothes the others gave him as a joke, the normally laid-back Obi is furious on his friend's behalf, chewing the others out for taking advantage of his utter disinterest in fashion.
      • For his part, Hinawa was willing to treat it as a harmless joke and even lied that he picked them out himself, though Obi saw through it.
  • Episode 7:
    • When the team reaches New Qingdao, the first local to greet them is none other than Takeru Noto's mother. This causes Takeru to slip into his original accent, and the resemblance between the two is quite clear to see as well as the bond the two share.
  • Episode 17:
    • Nataku is feeling pressure from all directions to become stronger, but then Kurono, normally a heartless tormentor to Nataku, says that he wants Nataku to stay weak, and that children should hold on to, and cherish their weakness for as long as they can. In an odd way, this gave Nataku a much needed sense of acceptance. Charon understands this and decides to leave Nataku where he is, because he already has a "protector" in the form of Kurono.
    • Charon's flashback where he's reading a book titled "how to raise a good child", showing his fatherly relationship with Haumea.
  • Episode 18:
    • Iris has serious doubts about her faith, but Shinra insists that Iris' prayers are what separates Company 8 from being mere killers. Shinra goes on to call Iris "the Sunflower of Company 8".
