After Psycho!Ness is called out by Lucas as "not the real Ness", he seems to be on the verge of going crazy. It doesn't help that another version of Ness appears promptly after, causing Psycho to lash out violently at his counterpart. Luckily, his friend-mother substitute Mystia, with some help from the other Ness, is able to defuse the situation and reverse his fall to darkness. How? With the Eight Melodies, of course!
Spinoff
The second time the Eight Melodies are used also qualifies, as it involves multiple characters attempting to convince a Brainwashed and Crazy Alderoth to let go of the Will of Metatron... and it succeeds.
What initially appears to be a monster stalking Alfaris turns out to be the benevolent but creepy Emotion EaterPhobia. After learning that both of them have a lot in common in keeping supernatural beings at bay, they become friends (with the latter giving hugs), while Phobia even helps Alfaris temporarily overcome his fear of losing his own loved ones by promising to protect him and herself.
Starting here, fellow Dragonborn Viserys and Awkeff make Arena history by being the first couple to actually get married in the Arena itself. The former's close friend, Serana, even officiates their wedding.
Some time after the harrowing conclusion to the Cyber Angel plot, Thor and Iris help each other take their minds off of the ordeal by dancing together.
Following up on the above, after 42 spent most of said plot undergoing a massive Trauma Conga Line, she attempts Suicide by Cop at the hands of Omagi, but ends up being forced to come to terms with her own misdeeds by her Shadow Self, whose berserk state is the exact same as what 42 would've become if she hadgoneWitch. Almost everyone present, including the former Cyber Angel Queen, not only defends her from her Shadow, but reassures her that she's still a good person despite it all. She manages to regain her faith in herself, awakening a max-level Persona in the process and vowing to change for the better.
Beginning here, Iris and Thor go from feasting on hot dogs together to having an unexpectedly heartfelt conversation.
Konngara's character development arc is full of this:
Starting here, Konngara confronts her Shadow and discovers the truth about herself: she is actually an evil spirit who was sent to Hell for the extreme brutality she used to dish out on those she deemed sinful, and broke out of Hell in the mistaken belief that it was all a test of faith and that she is still on a Mission from God. Konngara's friends manage to defeat her darker self and convince it that the world is not corrupt beyond salvation, that things aren't always black and white, and that redemption doesn't have to mean death.
Here, Konngara is preparing to face her eventual final fate at the hands of Sariel when Pseudo, one of her oldest friends in the Arena, implores her to let him lend his aid against the angel. Konngara, however, is reluctant. What follows is a heart-to-heart over the course of which Konngara discovers that the line between honor and Pride is thinner than she thought and that pushing others out of her life is only causing pain to both herself and her friends.
This culminates in her delivering a touching speech about the worth of friendship to Sariel right before the second fight against her.
To honor the untimely passing of Akira Toriyama, Broly meets and bonds with Kid Goku over a friendly spar in a scene that begins here.
