Dr. Manhattan channeling Superman.
  • When Marionette finds out from Dr. Manhattan that she's pregnant again, Mime just motions for her and they embrace lovingly — while madness is swirling around them otherwise.
  • After everything goes to hell in Issue 8, we're shown a bunch of newspapers turning on Superman and blaming him for the incident... except The Daily Planet, which has a front-page article by Perry White himself calling out the blatantly unprofessional hysteria, defending Superman, and poking holes in the frame-up.
  • Issue 12: After being inspired by Superman trying to save him when he thought one of them would have to kill the other, Dr. Manhattan ends up fixing the changes he made to the DC Universe by bringing the Justice Society back; they arrive to help fight Black Adam's forces. We are shown the Kents telling Clark about the old superheroes to inspire him, and he becomes Superboy to save his parents from the car crash that had killed them in the New 52 timeline, thus inspiring the Legion of Superheroes.
Saturn Girl: You remember us now, don't you, Kal?
    Superman: (smiling) Imra.
  • Reggie, embracing the Rorschach identity, visits Byron Lewis's grave. Accompanied by a singular moth attracted to the light of his flashlight, he has only one thing to say to his old friend:
    Reggie: Thank you.

  • Jon telling Carver Colman to be himself and not hide his secrets anymore — namely, his sexuality. After a little bit of pain, he becomes an LGBTQ+ icon and dies having a partner of over 40 years.
  • Simple and understated, but as the Hollises hear about the global neutralization of all nukes, there's a shot of the clock in the wall. It's 12:05.
  • Batman adds Rorschach's diary to the trophy room in the Batcave.
  • Batman helping to save the day not by beating up bad guys, but by helping Rorschach face his fears and embrace hope.
  • Veidt finally saves the Watchmen universe by convincing Jon it's worth saving.
  • 1938 Superman giving a little smile at Dr. Manhattan when seeing him, explaining the mysterious smile on his face in the original issue.
  • If you didn't tear up a bit seeing Superboy save Jonathan and Martha, you might want to consult a cardiologist. Not only did it give Clark his adoptive parents back (closing the hole the New 52/Rebirth Supes had in his heart), but it also means that Jon (Clark and Lois' son) now has and can get to know a living grandfather who is not a megalomaniac. And likewise Jonathan can know he has a grandson who is named after him. The Superfamily is complete once again, possibly for the first time.
  • Mime and Marionette naming their baby girl after Mime's late mother.
  • If you look at the pictures when Sally is running to get the door, you can see the first Silk Spectre happily holding her granddaughter, which shows that Laura and Sally fully made up and allowed the first Silk spectre to have a happy last few years.
  • And the end of it all: Dr. Manhattan takes Mime and Marionette's son and raises him as his own. He gives his powers to the boy, stating that he himself can never be the Hope Bringer the Watchmen Universe needs, but he can create one to be their Superman. The last shot of Jon is him smiling as he fades away, imparting his powers to the Earth as roses grow beneath his feet, hopeful again. And the comic closes on the boy going to the home of Laurie and Daniel to be adopted by them, ensuring the protector of the Watchmen Universe will grow up loved.
Laura and Daniel's Daughter: My name's Sally. What's yours?
Mime and Marionette's Son: Jon calls me Clark.
    • Take a look at Manhattan during this sequence. He's wearing his Dr. Osterman suit now, symbolizing that he believes in humanity again.
  • Alan Scott appearing with his children Obsidian and Jade in the ending to assure the public that investigations are being made regarding the Supermen Theory, a loving family finally restored to continuity after Dr. Manhattan's meddling with the DC Universe initially erased them from existence.
  • A rocket arrives. A child is loved. Superman is made. Dr Manhattan realizing how love has always been at the core of Superman as he's inspired by him to finally take action.
