Heartwarming / Donkey Kong Island

• In "The Movie" Dixie reveals her feelings for Diddy to his brother, DK as she is jealous of seeing of him with Kitty. Even DK could tell as he told her that Diddy always had a thing for her.
• Even though K. Rool may be a total jerkass to everyone, you can't help but feel bad for him as he had it rough with his family, especially with his father H.K. Rool. But certain people cared for him for example,
  • DK on "The Corporate Party", as he is having a conversation with H.K. Rool, who had offered him a promotion to work with him, leaving the Warehouse, then later, as H.K. Rool had enough of his son Konner, DK stood up for his Warehouse boss rather than working for "the asshats in suits". And K. Rool even shared a drink with him, as a token of his appreciation.
  • Katryna is his niece as well as the daughter of his sister, Kelly. In "New Faces", after Kelly was caught by K. Ross for cheating on him with her co-manager and causing domestic violence towards her, she needs Konner to look after their daughter while she's trying to sort out with her husband. To make matters worse, Ross makes Katryna to go to bed at 9 pm despite being the age of 22. Then he concedes as he will take in Katryna as Kelly made a promise to buy him a bag of donuts...chocolate ones. Konner and Katryna were total strangers at first, then after K. Rool was brought back home by his employees, the two got to know each other better as the two had daddy issues. And then in "Lite Food Truckers" she joined in with DK's plan to take her Uncle Kennedy's food truck as revenge for her boss/uncle. But then at "Closing Down", she begs K. Rool to talk her grandfather out of buying Funky's, but he refuses to help her, DK, and Diddy. But later when DK rebelled against H.K. Rool, Katryna and her best friend Dixie joined in with the former. But when K. Rool tries to get them out, Katryna sees this as H.K. Rool's management offer (even though Harold wouldn't do that) attempt. Then the trio threaten to quit on him (later Diddy joined in) and he gave in to their plead. As H.K. Rool is about to fire the four (well didn't see Lanky), she and the others threw food at him he gives Funky his bar back, then his disappointment with his son got even lower as he tells him that he isn't going to give him the management position for his planned bar. Despite of loss of respect from his father, she tells K. Rool that she and the others will always be proud of their boss. In "Snow Madness", as K. Rool is taken prisoner with the Snow Mads, she is saddened to see Konnor nearly frozen to death as she and the others pay for ransom (as K. Lumzy took the gold and replaced them with fish). After their rescue, she apologizes to Konnor about having been their prisoner in the frozen cell and is thanked by him for coming back to for him. She even tells him that he has been more of a dad to her than K. Ross ever had. And also admits that K. Rool was right about K. Lumzy and vows vengeance for falsely imprisoning Konnor and nearly getting her and her friends killed by the Snowmads.
