• Bill finally gains enough money to buy Nancy from Fagin. Despite him having pimped her out and used her as a pickpocket, Nancy thanks Fagin sincerely for looking after her all these years, and the two share a very tender farewell. Then Bill playfully carries Nancy up the street over his shoulder.
• Inspector Bucket has a number of these, notably treating Nancy and Oliver to a slap up meal, and most of all letting Emily Cratchit get away with the killing of Jacob Marley at the risk of ruining the reputation of the Detective.
