• Issue #983:
  • After Duke is injured in an explosion that was caused by a new super villain, the first thing that Bruce does is comfort him and call him “son”.
  • When Cassandra learns that Duke was hurt, she insists on visiting him at Wayne Manor so that she can help. Even though they haven’t interacted much in the past, she really does care for her fellow sidekick.
• Issue #984:
  • It’s a small one, but when Cassandra is being attacked by Karma, her face lights up the moment that she sees Batman coming to her rescue.
  • According to Bruce, in the time since the last arc ended, Barbara has become rather protective of Cassandra. Further proof that her status as Cassandra’s mother figure has returned!
