Heartwarming / Deer Me

• Following the events of Viana's epic "The Reason You Suck" Speech to the Jerkass otter, Thomas teases her a little about having referred to him as "her Thomas". She vehemently denies it meaning anything other than referring to him as her roommate, and tells Velvet to drive them home. During the ride home, Velvet sees Thomas and Viana resting peacefully in the backseat-practically cuddling. Naturally, she takes a picture.
  • That Viana referred to him as "her Thomas" is also one in regards to their UST.
• Although it started as a bit of a fight, with Viana tackling Thomas to the floor, and then choking him briefly, there was a sweetness to just seeing them spend a few moments close to each other. Until Rasha ruined the moment, anyway.
• Seeing Thomas, Velvet, and Woola attempt to cheer up (or at least show their concern towards) Viana during the "Viana is Mopey" arc.
• Even after Thomas moves out, he keeps a trio of photographs of himself, Aaron, Velvet, and Viana respectively. One of them is the aforementioned scene of Viana and himself in the backseat, which he smiles upon fondly. (To add to this, it shows he's quite appreciative that Velvet photographed that nice, little moment.
• The conclusion of the "Crushed Velvet" arc shows that, despite some complications and heartbreak along the way, James and Blair managed to make it work between them. The return to the present day shows that they were sharing this backstory with Cory, who sighs at his present, single state. James gives Cory an affectionate peck, and both he and Blair invite Cory to join them.
• While understandable, given her anger issues and violent tendencies, Aaron refuses to talk to Viana about what's stressing her out. Thomas, in turn, goes to visit Viana and gives her a chance to vent. He also has a patient, little smile as he does it.
• Once Viana has resolved her own issues and made peace with Aaron before breaking up, he understands and drives her to talk with Thomas. And before she's completely put off by another misunderstanding between Blaire and Thomas, Aaron prompts the other buck to reveal his secret project to Viana and takes Blaire home. From there, Thomas finally confesses how he feels, and she's more than happy to reciprocate. And the secret project? A painted recreation of their backseat cuddle with the two in formal wear.
