Heartwarming / Death Note (2017)

• The fact Light tells Watari to try and run away so he is not killed is somewhat sweet, even if it might have been for a selfish reason (to protect himself from L).
• L and Watari's relationship in this movie, when it's just the two of them, seems closer to that of a father and son instead of a detective and his handler. An early example is L requesting that Watari sing to help him get to sleep faster, which Watari does without hesitation implying that he's been asked to do this fairly regularly.
