  • Julie's relationship with her younger sister, Capucine (pronounced: Cap-oo-seen), is very sweet—while Capucine can be kind of annoying, it's clear that she looks up to Julie, who does her best to help her sister when she needs it, particularly when it comes to stuff related to dancing (so Julie acts as a mentor to her little sister).
  • In Volume-5 ("To Russia With Love"), Julie and Alia find Nathalia (the head seamstress/costume designer for their dance school) standing around by herself with a sad look on her face—Nathlia explains that being in the Mariinsky Theater is bringing back some sad memories for her: Nathalia claims that when she was younger, she was set to perform in a production of The Nutcracker-ballet in that same theater—unfortunately, Nathalia got injured during rehearsals and was forced to give up on her dancing career. Touched by her story, Julie and Alia decide to help Nathalia achieve her dream of performing in the Mariinsky Theater—in fact, Alia (who claims to have several roles in the upcoming of the Nutcracker that she, Julie and the rest of their fellow dancers will be performing with the ballet students at the Mariinsky) decides to have Nathalia replace her as the Sugar Plum Fairy. Julie and Alia help Nathalia practice for the role and wait until it's time for the Sugar Plum Fairy's role in the ballet for Nathlia to perform—the show itself ends up being a big hit and Nathalia's grateful to the girls for helping her.
    • On another note, even if Nathalia had to give up on her dream of being a professional dancer, it's a good idea that she became a seamtress, because when Alia gives Nathalia the Sugar Plum Fairy-costume, it's clearly way too small for her—so Nathalia puts her sewing and designing skills to good use, which Julie and Alia are quick to point out.
