WARNING: Spoilers are off on Heartwarming moments pages.

  • Right after the Faj'ro Temple (with the LASER MOTHS), as funny as Emilie's fear of bugs is, it takes a bit of a darker turn when Emilie stumbles out, completely shellshocked and looking like she's about to collapse into tears. Lea rushes up to her and gives her a tight Cooldown Hug.
  • Lukas and Lea's developing friendship throughout the Vermilion Wastes, especially after her first run-in with Shizuka. After they're trapped in a bizarre and claustrophobic hellscape, he remains constantly helpful and supportive of her, even though the ordeal is clearly weighing on him as well. After Lea's altercation with Shizuka, he notices her distress right away, despite her attempts to hide it. Lukas continues to gently express his concern until Lea finally ends up breaking down into tears, providing Lea with a much-needed shoulder to cry on. Talking with her (as best as she can talk, that is) helps Lea at least start to move on, all from the empathy of Lukas.
  • When Lea returns to the M.S. Solar after a very bad day, Carla goes out of her way to be as comforting as possible. Apparently, she knew that Lea wasn't actually human this entire time, yet still treated her like one regardless.
Sergey: You know she doesn't really need that blanket, Carla. Avatars aren't susceptible to the environment like we are.
Carla: I know, but I thought it could help her in other ways.
  • Empathy is the last thing you'd expect from an egotistical poser like Apollo, yet he turns out to be surprisingly amicable in spite of himself.
    • When he crosses paths with a despondent Lea in Gaia's Garden, he and his pal Joern pull her out of her depression by letting their "bitter rival" join their group. Sergey remarks later that she's brightened up considerably after exploring with them for just a few hours.
    • It's revealed that Apollo has already played through the game multiple times already. If Lea won the three PVP duels, Emilie mocks Apollo for failing to beat a relative newcomer several times in a row. He shoots back that there isn't any shame in losing to someone so naturally talented.
    • If you speak with Apollo before the final battle, he thanks Lea not just for being a worthy opponent, but for showing him how he could grow as a player, and that she’s a proud example of the Spheromancer class. He even calls her by name sans-title for the first time in the game.
  • C’tron patching things up between Lea and Emilie after they've had a falling out. He's only known them for a week and has no vested interest in their reconciliation, yet goes out of his way to help them resolve their issues in a thoughtful and considerate manner.
    • This moment changes from merely heartwarming to extraordinary with the later revelation that C'tron was an Evotar of Big Bad Sidwell. In spite of all the cruelty his original was responsible for, deep within, the man is still able to perform good deeds that didn't benefit him in the slightest, just because he could.
  • Incredibly, even Sidwell can be credited with a few moments despite being the most vile person in the game.
    • He made a dedicated effort to repair Lea when she suffered the malfunction which erased her memories. Bear in mind that Lea was a buggy “proof of concept” prototype and that Sidwell was able to produce superior Evotars quickly and easily when it happened. Whatever her value as a person, she was practically worthless as an asset. That didn’t stop him from doing his best to fix her regardless.
    • After sending the Blue Avatar to abduct Lea, he created an Evotar of her friend Lukas so that she would at least have some companionship and emotional support while she was his prisoner.
    • In her final dream sequence prior to the climax, Lea finally regains her memories prior to her malfunction, and remembers that the man who has tortured, blackmailed and exploited innocent people without remorse also treated her with absolute kindness from the moment she was born. Whatever else the man may have done, Sidwell was the closest thing the young A.I. girl had to a caring father.
The fact that you can’t talk is part of who you are, but it doesn’t make you a bad person. On the contrary, it makes you special; few can listen like you do.
    • During their last time together, Sidwell displays remorse over how things went from the very start, admitting that all they needed was to maintain the Evotars and Evotar Ground, but he got too greedy, wishing things could have been different. His expressions even changes to match how he really felt.
  • The closing credits depict various scenes throughout the game in the same style as Lea’s dream sequences, implying that she's reliving these events after logging off for the last time. After all of the vague, haunting dreams she encountered throughout the game, Lea will now be spending her time offline cherishing the newer, better memories that she made during her journey.
Sergey: Good night and sweet dreams, Lea.
  • From the DLC: After Lea finally realizes C'Tron might be an Evotar of Sidwell, he starts having a nervous breakdown, questioning if she must be malfunctioning, why haven't they disposed of him since he was technically their enemy, but what both Sergey and Lea reassure him is that he was still their friend and gave Lea very precious memories. After he recovers, he decides that they should reveal his truth to the rest of the party.
    • It was left up to debate whether or not C'tron tried setting up a second raid as an ambush (what he and Sergey thinks) or if it was his attempt to reconcile for all the pain he caused her (what Emilie believes). But if you add information from the ending (mainly Sidwell stating that once Lea escaped the Evotar Grounds, it was all over), it means that Emilie's thoughts are right and that C'tron was making up for what happened at the first raid.
  • Also from the DLC, Lea and Emilie excitedly hopping in place together as the team discusses the final Raid.
  • During an optional call with Buggy, he goes a bit too far with making jokes about Lea's speech issues, making her cry. The heartwarming part is when he offers up an apology gift of three Golden Bars, which is fifteen thousand Credits, and says he won't make jokes like that again.
    • In general, when people realize Lea has speech issues at all, they're almost always universally understanding of her condition, especially since it's similar to a glitch that used to happen to Crossworlds avatars that might still not have been fixed, and are more than happy to accommodate her as best they can.
  • The ending of the DLC has some very cute highlights:
    • The group celebrating the victory over AI Sidwell with a barbecue at Homestedt.
    • Luke's new job as a Rookie Guide, laughing warmly as a player found running around a tree to be more exciting than learning new player stuff.
    • Shizuka and Lea having a happy time together before going for their new job: testing beta enemies.
