• 'Chapter 19 - 'Blood-Soaked Bull vs Sun Dragon of Hell!'
  • Taiyang actually tries to get Adam to change for the better, attempting to empathize with the pain he felt when Blake left him by using his own experiences with Raven.
• Chapter 27 - 'Invincible'
  • May Marigold was part of Ilia's "friend" group in Atlas, but unlike the rest of them, she showed actual concern towards the Faunus when her scales started changing color.
• Chapters 30 & 31 - 'Dark Threads'
  • After their duel, Lil' Miss Malachite genuinely compliments Ruby on her skills.
• Chapters 33 & 34 - 'Burning the Candle'
  • Ruby, Astral, and Yang all reassure Weiss that she's nothing like her father and isn't a bad person just because the Schnee name.
  • When Blake turns Sun down, citing that she's not ready to get into a new relationship, he takes it in stride.
• Chapters 35 & 36 - 'The Innocence of Youth'
  • Blake getting more and more into the tag-duel between her and Yang & Ren and Nora, letting go of a lot of the angst she'd been grappling with since the Volume began to just enjoy a duel with her friends. By the end of it, she and Ren have broken out laughing from how much fun they've both had.
• Chapter 38 - 'A Night to Remember'
  • Ironwood has been wary of Ruby since they met, clearly cautious of anyone that might 'distract' Penny from her duties. This only worsens during the dance when he figures out that she knows that Penny is an Ignis and he confronts her about it. However, once they actually get to talking, he quickly finds himself liking Ruby for her earnest desire to be the ideal hunting duelist and comforts her on her recent struggles with the leadership aspects that don't directly relate to dueling, relating with her social awkwardness issues. He still lightly chastises Penny for not telling him that Ruby learned what she was, but he does compliment her choice of confidant and lets Ruby serve as her escort for the rest of the night instead of himself or Atlas troops.
  • Basically any interaction that Ruby and Penny have. It's no wonder people think they're a couple so much.
