  • "Neighborhood #1 (Tunnels)." Is it about the apocalypse? Is it about falling in love? Is it about a blizzard that shuts down all the schools so The Kids can go outside and play in the snow? Is it about all of those things? Nobody knows, but it sure does feel good.
  • "Rebellion (Lies)." Like "Neighborhood #1," the meaning isn't exactly clear, but it's a wonderfully joyous and moving song- even more so in the context of the album, where it follows the darker "Haiti" and precedes the nostalgic "In the Backseat."
  • "Unconditional I (Lookout Kid)", written for Win and Régine’s son, is a reminder of the need for unconditional love in a broken world, and that things will get better even after a bad situation.
  • Who is Arcade Fire? This is Arcade Fire.
  • The Youtube Awards video for "Afterlife."
