Despite Amanda the Adventurer's subject matter, some have become drawn to the game due to several of its more touching moments.

Depending on how one prefers to interpret it, Wooly proceeds to try and rerail the situation and asks for your help to try and help Amanda feel better. Even after it ends in her burning several stores to the ground in frustration, he tries to comfort her on what she did manage to get done, albeit just as terrified as he is concerned.
- The origins of Amanda the Adventurer turn out to be this. Before it got turned into a rather Uncanny Valley cartoon, it was a live action TV show. Sam, the creator, says that he was inspired by how his adopted daughter, Rebecca, saw the world with such kindness and joy despite what she'd been through.
- The entirety of the Coffee Break tape is basically this, especially with how Sam describes the love he felt for his adopted daughter.Sam: But really, it's all Rebecca. As soon as I met my beautiful daughter, the inspiration was there. You know, she was so young when I adopted her. And despite what she's gone through, she's always seen the world with such kindness and joy. She's the light of my life. And it makes me so happy to share that light with our community.
