  • In The Female War, Wilks and Billie have finally made it to relative safety aboard Gateway Station. Wilks spends most of his time in the gym, and during one session sees a young boy, ten or eleven, sitting there with a Thousand-Yard Stare. Recalling parts of his own shitty childhood, Wilks offers to show the boy how to use one of the exercise machines.
It wasn't much, but it was something Wilks could do. Nobody had ever done it for him.
The smile on the boy's face was worth a million, easy. And it didn't cost Wilks anything at all.
  • Billie, with Ripley tagging along, finally rescuing Amy, in a scene deliberately reminiscent of Ripley rescuing Newt. For both Billie and Ripley it signifies, in different ways, them rediscovering and reconnecting with their humanity.
