Headscratchers / We Summon the Darkness

• When Mark and Kovacs are left alone to escape, Mark tells Kovacs to get his belt so they can cut their bonds off with the studs, implying that they've been bound with rope. When they escape, however, they each have one cuff of a pair of handcuffs attached to their wrists. How did they escape?
  • The handcuff came from the sheriff who was cuffing them when Val snuck up & shot him with his own gun.
• Why did Alexis turn her stereo on full blast when she hid in the closet? Wouldn't she want to be able to hear Mark coming for her so she could know when to jump out?
• Why didn't Mark and Bev call the police when they were left alone and request an ambulance for Kovacs? Surely that would have been safer and probably faster then wandering around the house trying to fight the keys off of Alexis.
• Pastor Butler says that his scheme is already on thin ice and won't survive the increased attention that Alexis's debacle will have on it. Why, then, did he allow Alexis to perform the murders in his house in the first place? Even if the murders had gone off without a hitch, wouldn't he want to prevent the media from showing off his gigantic mansion that he bought with stolen charity funds? And why does the media immediately accept that Alexis's satanic murders don't reflect poorly at all on the Pastor?
  • I think his plan was always to kill Alexis after she was done, make it look like she (and the other girls) were also victims.
• Why did they think they needed to get Alexis' car keys rather than Ivan's van keys?
  • The women said they slashed the van's tires while the guys were knocked out.
