  • Gideon Reyes and other residents of Colorado Springs imply that there are severe food shortages that prevent the city from taking on new refugees. However, the Patriarch's deal revolves around providing... food... to Ranger HQ down in Arizona. Which one is it? Moreover, why can't Team November point this out to one of many assorted Npc that are involved in the quest?
    • The Patriarch has his own troubles with his children, and they're big enough of a threat that his Marshalls alone are insufficient to deal with them (this is especially true of Liberty's Savage Council). Assuming that there is a food shortage, well...between the refugees with nothing to contribute and the heavily armed militia who is willing to help him out, which one of the two groups is the Patriarch more likely to provide what little food there is to?

  • Why are the Gippers the ONLY faction capable of solving the oil crisis? Bloodthirsty raiders that don't care much for machinery? Sure- but what about the commune? Surely they'd have no problem appropriating the wreckage of the Gippers and providing oil- especially if you fulfil their request?
    • While they may act friendly and grateful towards the player, the Commune ultimately has no interest in broader human affairs. They're robots who largely like to keep to themselves; they might occasionally help out individual humans they encounter in their immediate vicinity in need of a helping hand, but they otherwise seem pretty apathetic and disinterested towards the larger political, social, economic, etc. situation going on outside of their bubble.
