  • This is honestly something I don't get about Natani's whole sexual orientation/mental link with Zen. If Natani's soul was torn apart and was basically replaced by parts of Zen's, then isn't the Natani we know now more accurately some kind of mental "clone" of Zen than an actually different person altogether that we assume is Zen's sibling? Especially with the strip released on August 11 2016, it basically comes off that "Natani" was essentially born that very day the link occurred seeing as any memories they have are just what Zen felt. In a sense, the real Natani died that day and Zen is trying to keep her alive with this flesh puppet that he put part of his soul into. In a sense, the Natani we know isn't really Natani. It's actually Zen in a female body.
    • Nope. Most of Natani's own soul did, in fact, survive, only in a shattered condition. Bits and pieces were lost, and those were glued together with elements from Zen's soul, resulting in Natani as she is today. If anything, the recent strips have shown that there's far more of the "original" Natani around than she, herself, previously believed.
    • It's revealed that the mental link is basically a crutch that allows Natani to function while her mind heals from the horrific trauma inflicted by the Dark Magic cast upon her. Natani originally believed that aspects of Zen's personality, including gender were grafted on, like an organ transplant, but in reality, her original personality was still in her mind, just dormant, and after coming to accept that Zen's impression of her being weak and scared, she's fully embraced her original self and is much stronger for it.

  • Is there any reason Keith's eyes keep flip-flopping between brown and white? Not sure if there's a narrative reason or the author just can't make up his mind.
    • Based on the timing of the eye changes, it's shorthand for when Keith is particularly shocked/surprised/emotive
