Headscratchers / Turok

  • In Turok 2, it's stated that the dinosoids that work for the Primagen have their own agenda, which is to see to the extinction of humanity. So why, in the first level, the Port of Adia, do they take all of those children captive? If they want to kill all humans, wouldn't it make more sense to just kill the kids too?
    • Given that the fighting’s still going on (as indicated by the background noise), the Dinosoids most likely figured it’d be easier to lure any stragglers out and into a trap if they heard the sound of a crying child while the rest of the horde continued to push through the city to reach the Totem. Fortunately, the Dinosoids didn’t count on Turok showing up…
    • Alternately, just because they want to kill all of humanity doesn't mean they can't save a few for a tasty snack...
  • So, in Turok 2 the second level is in a city built by the River Of Souls (which is deadly poison if you drink or even touch it). Which makes me wonder, why? Why build a city right next to an instant death river? Even if you teach people not to drink from or touch it there's always the risk of a flood or something. Really, I'm surprised the city wasn't destroyed a long time ago just from that.
    • It's explained in the Primagen's Lightship level that it's the waste created by its power cells that is responsible for poisoning the River of Souls. So it was not always poisoned.
    • It also says in the mission briefing that the Energy Totem kept the River of Souls clean and harmless. Before the Primagen's invasion, that's it.
  • All the exhibits in the zoo in Evolution are the exact same size. Wouldn't it make more sense for them to be of varying sizes?
  • In Evolution, if the Slegs had all those airships, why didn't they just fly to Galyanna?
