• If they track their victims with the implants, how do they find Julia or Billy after they remove them?
  • It's not the implants, it's the marks they leave behind. Julia still has a mark where she removed the implant.
    • Indeed. Essentially the way it works is that "They" put the implant into a child who has their wound heal and go away. Then when the child has "ripened" the implant causes that black mark to start appearing. Once it appears nothing that you do is going to stop "They" from hunting you down and taking you.
