  • The game's massive plot twist is ruined by Laambo's off handed joke regarding the name GEATHJERK: Guild of Evil Aliens Terrorising Humans with Jiggawatt bombs, Energy beams, Ray guns, and Killer lasers. Jergingha notes that it was the name of their civilisation in the future, meaning that either they took the name and changed it into an acronym that they thought would fit, or they've been terrorising humanity for a long time. The former somewhat makes sense, as they would've probably resigned themselves to being Card Carrying Villains in the eyes of humans, and would explain why the commanders are such dicks: they're taking out their anger in the most gloriously hammy way possible. It also explains why Jergingha is the least dickish: he's never seen by humans and wouldn't have to put up a façade, and acts bitter rather than evil in the final confrontation. Considering that none of that is ever explained or even alluded to, it's not a safe bet. The latter isn't as likely either, as Jergingha also points out how they've never seen them before the attack on their world, and dialogue from the other commanders seem to support this, unless all of them were lying, which is, again, never even alluded to. It was likely intended as a simple, funny joke, but in a game that is surprisingly well constructed in terms of plot, it made this hard not to notice, especially given how massive a plot twist this is.
    • Or Laambo just made it up to sound cool.
    • It's also possible that the GEATHJERK always were a bunch of aliens terrorizing humans etc. etc. and that the Greater Galactic Coalition formed and wiped them out. Jergingha never states that the GEATHJERK were a peaceful civilization, just that they were defeated by the Greater Galactic Coalition. Note how the lower ranked officers that you fight early on, such as Laambo, do not imply knowledge about the Greater Galactic Coalition, like Vijounne and Gimme do. The whole game might take place on a second, alternate timeline, with the first being one where the GEATHJERK attack Earth just for straightforward conquest, causing Earth to develop Wonder-Masks and Unite Morphs, which they then use to defeat GEATHJERK, prompting Jergingha to go back in time and start the alternate timeline where this game takes place. For all we know, Earth Defense War III might be the first where the GEATHJERK are time-travelers.
  • Here's something the GEATHJERK went and forgot- Jergingha's main goal is to erase the Greater Galactic Coalition from existence by going back in time and destroying Earth. And that is essentially a time paradox in a nutshell, so if he had succeeded, the entire universe, including him and all the other surviving GEATHJERK soldiers, would be erased from existence. And he never even considered any sort of time paradox. What was he thinking?
    • Depends on exactly how time travel works in this universe; maybe such a change would create a new timeline, rather than destroying the universe. This is implied by the ending: when Wonder-Goggles joins the team, the Wonderful 100 becomes The Wonderful 101, yet Jergingha called the Galactic Coalition "100 demons".
    • Plus, by attacking Earth, he screwed over the entire GEATHJERK Cluster by allowing humanity to develop Unite Morphing technology.
    • This whole thing is debatable as we have no idea how time travel actually works in this universe, and most likely Jergingha did not either. Time travel may very well have been their only hope, and the risks of a paradox or making humanity develop Unite Morphing were far outweighed by the necessity to save themselves in the first place. The best possible outcome for the GEATHJERK would have been to alter history and destroy the human race, and they were willing to risk paradoxes to do so.
  • Luka was on a field trip to the Super Reactor in Blossom City. Fair enough, but he appears on a liner to the next one in Operation 003, manages to slip out of Pink's attempt to detain him in 004, smuggles himself into Vijounne's mecha during the same operation, opens full access to the Super Reactor in 005, and still appears in Operation 006 to sell out to GEATHJERK. What in Gaia's name was wrong with Will Wedgewood (Wonder Red) in not trying to connect the dots and talk to the boy before 006?! Even if they didn't know he was Margarita's son, he appears in literally every operation with a Super Reactor; the pattern was right there in front of him and he never cottoned on. Some leader he is.
