• In "Fire and Terror", Fowler puts his hat on, having forgotten that it is full of sick, just before he is about to meet a senior officer. When the officer berates him for not removing his hat, Fowler improvises that he is a Sikh, and is forbidden to bare his head. Later however, he is bare-headed in front of the same officer, who would then have known that Fowler was lying, and Fowler strongly disapproves of lying to a senior officer.
