Headscratchers / The School for Good and Evil

• In the end of the first book, the death of the School Master causes the two schools to lose their division, turning the uniforms silver and the schools gold. In fact, the end claims their division is ended "once and for all". By the second book, the schools are separate again, being for boys and girls. In the third, they're both for evil. But by the fourth, they're back to being for Good and Evil!
  • The obvious answer to this question is that book one was written when the author didn't know they'd be allowed to make a series or had any intent to. My guess is that when the book sold like hotcakes he was rushed to turn it into a series.
