It's kind of hard to tell what kind of a vegetable the King is, but his brother is clearly a gourd. But Eloise and Alexander are clearly leeks or onions of some sort, and leeks and gourds are rather different. Do they take after their mother?
What would have happened if they'd failed the Secret Test of Character? Would everyone just have been left to try and work out the problems on their own? It seems like an unnecessary risk.
