• How is it that Jimmy Olsen gets a Superman signal watch, but Lois Lane (who gets into a lot more trouble than Jimmy) doesn't?
  • That's exactly why. Lois is such a trouble magnet that Superman keeps an eye on her as a matter of routine; Jimmy only occasionally gets into the kind of trouble that needs super-aid.
• In "Luthor's Loco Looking Glass", Luthor blocks the sound of the Superman signal watch by coating the walls of the Death Trap with lead. Fair enough. But there's a problem: Luthor's gloating seemed to imply that the knowledge that he'd failed to save the hostage was his revenge on Superman. How would Supes know about the failure if he never got the signal that something was wrong?
