  • Explain to me again what's so cool and superior about female headed sex worship? How is Avalon priestesses being required to have ritual sex with men they don't know and don't care about and birth children for the purposes of their superiors so much better than vows of chastity and living in a convent?
  • Wait, so the pagans in this story are "Goddess" worshippers, but didn't the Celts worship their own polythesitic pantheon? Also, wasn't British Celtic worship wiped out by pagan Anglo-Saxons, not Christians?
    • Yes, but this is an alternate history where Christians did all that. Also, Marion Zimmer Bradley didn’t do much research on history.
